PSPaudioware PSP DRC v1.0.0 ARM macOS-GUISEPPE screenshot
GUISEPPE | 28 May 2025 | 55 MB
PSP DRC is a powerful new dynamic processor plug-in inspired by the legendary DBX 118. With a fresh perspective on the classic concept, PSP DRC offers advanced processing capabilities that are seldom found in contemporary hardware or software, making it an essential tool for modern music production.

While the PSP DRC draws inspiration from the DBX 118, it is not a direct emulation of the original hardware. Instead, it re-imagines and expands upon the original concept, incorporating additional features to enhance its utility in various audio processing scenarios. This unique approach allows users to harness both compression and expansion across the entire dynamic range of the signal. Additionally, the processor can isolate and handle signals above or below the threshold, providing a more refined level of control.

PSP DRC also introduces a complementary compressor-expander pair function, which can be achieved by setting the Ratio to 2:1 in the compressor and down to 1:2 in the expander. The inclusion of advanced side chain features and external side chain support further elevates PSP DRC’s capabilities, transforming it into a comprehensive compander system.

LFG! A one shot PSPaudioware complete bundle would be cool. So far the most recent ones are out, this one is the first being ARM. Thanks for your hard work nonetheless, epic times in the warez universe :)

Very good quality compressor btw, very nice on drums, I think perhaps the best choice if looking for a dbx 118, the extra features are very handy and even stock the sound is very precise on transients

Likewise hoping for more PSP stuff or the whole bundle! For both intel and ARM buddies

Wonder how this compares to the Fuse Audio Labs emulation

personally I like it better, you can both match it and have extra options in shaping the sound. Already turned in my default dbx

To get in front of it and explain, I'm gonna copy pasta something I commented on the UVI thread (which is mostly pertinent, I understand this new release may not have appeared previously in intel format as newer release iirc):

"It is my understanding that the TEAM responsible for this, and hidera and GUISEPPE currently do not have access to intel machines to test, and also have stated in other threads/places their philosophy on this in that while a lot of us all enjoyed our intel machines and many still do, their support going forward is limited in regards to macOS, and thus many devs etc, and are choosing to focus their talents and efforts given limited time in an infinite universe on addressing releases for arm amongst other reasons.. (I'm paraphrasing...)

Most of their releases have been released for Mac intel previously however, and before this latest breakthrough and sharing it etc, so at least solely intel users are pretty well covered for now, and historically have had access to more.... but times are changing with Apple's shift to arm 5 years ago etc, and again, I loved my intel machines and got a lot of work done with them, but once I got my m-chipped machine, it became quickly obvious that those machines were pretty much relegated to legacy projects etc (although still capable!), as there was no comparison in power, energy efficiency, and all of that....

And fortunately the price point for entry on m chipped Macs is far lower than it was on introduction..."

So tl/dr: I wouldn't expect TEAM GUISEPPE to be dropping intel versions anytime soon, but I hope for our brethren who are still using intel mac's that perhaps someone else will. :)
