What is the difference between R2R and TEAM V.R versions of Arturia products? I love and respect both teams for their hard work. But I always see versions of both teams and get confused about which one to install. So based on your experience... What is the technical difference between the two? Which one is better in terms of performance, presets loading, less crashes... ?

idk about performance comparison, but vr version could be installed on external drive, that's huge benefit when we talk about many gigs of arturia...

we can do it the symlink way and move the libraries somewhere else, but I saw people complaining about crashes and presets not working so that's why I'm confused...

I have had my entire "C:\ProgramaData\Arturia\" folder on another drive and symlinked for years.
No problems installing Preset Bundles or updates, etc. .

I must be very unlucky in life with this analog lab, I've never seen one that was stable or worked well

With the previous version most of the Pigments 5 factory presets didn't work,
hope I'll have more luck with this one.

Just my opinion, but arturia stuff seems more like the "chevelle" in deference to other more "porche" or "ferrari" type instruments and tools. Whenever I find myself reaching for the arturia stuff it's usually just to try something out before reaching for the real tool/instrument that will be used in the project. Again just my opinion from the real world use of the tools.

so just curious but what are your ferrari and porches?

I agree to some extent. I like the familiarity of the controls on most (some i never was familiar with).
For me that leads to more predictable results in some ways and quicker results in other ways.
But they are not the most efficient or CAPABLE of all synths out there, even with modern options.

BUT... I don't see myself getting 80% of a sound, and then deciding to open Serum and start over...NOPE.

MY biggest issue is that Analog Lab creates presets not compatable with the actual synth for which they are made, and Analog Lab can not read presets made in the actual synths.

Incompatable within the product? THAT is dog shit.
So, I will never use Analog Lab.
It might seem good for browsing, but if you find something you like, you are stuck in Analog Lab with it.
Don't try to find that thing when you open the synth it is designed for.
Analog Lab is a different product.

And Arturia preset management really is SHIT.
All "user" presets should NOT be within the structure of the entire library, but in User Documents or some other place.
AND ... THIRD-PARTY PRESETS ARE NOT "USER" PRESETS!

Stupid, stupid bullshit from the developers.

Put some effort at LEAST into asking for help.
Think for a minute: What can I do so that someone might be able to help me?

In what way is it blocked?
Is there a message window or popup?
What else is happening?
What is your OS?
