Could it be that presets are missing?

Is there not supposed to be sound coming from this plugin?
  Resident 7.08.2021 476

Obviously not. This generates only Midi, you have to route it to sound making VSTi.

My understanding this plugin does not generate sounds. It generates midi which is routed/sent to other vst instruments... "Send MIDI data to any device that accepts it, unlocking a range of musical possibilities."

Tried routing before writing here and nothing was sent out of it, only way to get data from it is to enable the midi recording of the pattern in the gui and then drag and drop the midi sequence on another channel but it takes out the entire process of refining/deciding of the output as you don't hear what's going on in the first place...

Folks, this vst is a midi tool, it is not supposed to produce any sound. It outputs midi messages like an arpeggiator, step/phrase sequencer, etc. You have to route its output to your synth of choice in your daw (how to do this will depend on your daw of choice: sometimes you have to have two tracks - one for this and another for the synth that will receive the midi and output the sound). And it is very very good at what it is supposed to do.

PS: have not tried this version yet, but the previous one worked the way it is supposed to.

No midi out of the plugin = No sound

Just tried this version and it is working (do not forget to press the play button on it, or link the play to you daw transport - and in this case your daw has to be running - both buttons are on the botton left of the gui).

I had the same issue on FL with Scaler 2 and only the VST2 version worked when routing, considering this is a VST3 I think this is where it's not working because I've been routing stuff everyday on FL with other plugins and it works properly
Grateful to be here ! :)

Works as expected in Bitwig 5.2.4!

Guys, have a look at those buttons in the bottom left hand corner if you are having trouble getting MIDI out.

That is it! Exactly this - you need to press the play buttom, or link it to your daw transport. Both buttons are located at the bottom left of the gui.

I did I checked both of them straight away still no sound also routing a synth as its output doesnt produce any sound either. Im sure this is not how its meant to work as a midi plugin routing a synth of choice its supposed to produce sound itself else why would it show a full synth keyboard at the bottom with keys playing notes when you do. Ableton 11 here, and it's working.

1) Put it on a midi track.
2) Put any synth on another midi track
3) on the synth midi track, choose BOTH the MIDI FROM tabs to Harmony bloom.
4) Press the play button on harmony bloom (or the play buttom in the daw transport if it is linked to your daw).
5) press any key on your midi keyboard to transport the phrases

Does not work in Studio one and Bitwig
  Resident 7.08.2021 476

This is wrong. It is working without any problems with Studio One (tested by myself) and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work in Bitwig. It looks like you don't understand how this plugin is supposed to work.

In my case, crashes Studio 6.5.2, something about the VST3. I don't know why, but it's dated 1999. I'm on win 10, bth.

Hi thanks - I probably should have said: It does not work in my system. I am not sure why - but I have the same issue as Revirau (comment below this one). So I went back to using the previous offering. That works, that I have used a lot. And yes - I do not that it is a midi tool only.

But thanks for your concern :-)

I deleted this version and installed R2R version, but crashes my DAWs anyway.

The solution:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64):
14.38.33130

And now Harmony Bloom runs smoothly in Studio One 6.5.2 and Ableton Live 12.

Hope it helps.
