Nope. AFAIK, Kazrog licenses can be used on any number of machines and there's nothing stopping you from sharing your license. The license agreement ofc says that you are not allowed to share your license with other people, but that's about it. Tokyo Dawn Labs and SIR Audio uses the same kind of "trust" system. It's the best kind of protection for users since it doesn't involve any kind of intrusive license manager and wrappers etc.

Kazrog is a fine company making excellent sounding products. They allow you to use your license on any number of computers as you wish and don't use any invasive copy protection. They also sell them at very fair prices.

Agreed. I'm legit with all their plugins `mostly because, as you mentioned, they're quality and the prices are fair (and go on sale regularly,) but the fact there's zero protection made buying them over the years a no-brainer. Support the guys who're doing it right on all fronts.

Amazing, thanks. First release where the visualizer is working correctly again since they removed it in 3.5 ...

For me this clipper is a little too heavy, I rather use it for distortion instead of clean clipping. But maybe I dont know how to properly use it.

if you use it on a melodic/heavy percussive instrument like a piano, an hammond with hard attack, a synth with metallic attack it can sound strange-weird-bad, batter use another clipper or even better a hard limiter

on drums or not tuned percussions it usually sounds very good

if you wanna it to sound transparent but with strong transients, keep it in smooth mode with soften at 0 then clip until you reach 2 dB of gain reduction, and maybe turn soften knob on 10-15%

for transparent sound but with tamed transients use the crisp mode, 2 dB reduction maximum

for all transparent purposes do not use in.out knobs, but use the threshold, turn it down slowly until you reach the reduction you need

for distortion you know, you can drive the input...

Anybody else have the issue of terrible noise coming through the plugin if tube Sat mode is selected and then you save your project and restart the DAW and go back to the project?

Btw this is easily fixed if you switch Sat modes.

anyone watch Warp Academy video on clipping? All oversampling eats up your headroom and if you're clipping to add headroom you've lost it.

He demos orange, gold and kazrog and only Gold clipper does not utilize a method under hood for oversampling, that eats up headroom.

It really was an eyeopening, key piece of info.
Mind you, my turds were fine yesterday... all well on there way to success.
Today tho? naaa, without Gold Clip, they're cooked.
