PUNCH Immersive Channel Strip
The PUNCH combines the efficient design and cohesive sound of analog channel strips, with
the diverse sonic color and flexible sound-shaping possibilities available only in digital.

Save time and avoid tedious manual workarounds with PUNCH plug-in designed from the
ground up for fast, efficient work on mid/side, stereo and the objects, the beds (fixed
channels) of immersive mixing environments.

INPUT ROUTING PANEL
Units
This module allows you to select an channel strip from four available. The channel strips are arranged in series, this allows you to process channels with different channel strip settings.
For example: the first channel strip is only the mid channel, the second channel strip is only the side channel, the third channel strip is the left and right channel. For multi-channel modes: the first channel strip is only the left and right channels, the second channel strip is the center channel, the third channel strip is the LFE, etc.

You can rename Unit Buttons for ease of use. To rename the selected Unit button, right-click on the button.

In order to turn on the solo (listen) of the channel strip, double-click on the selected unit number. The channel strip in solo mode glows yellow, to exit solo mode, double-click again. For two-channel modes, only one channel strip can be solo mode. For multi-channel modes, one or more channel strip can be soloed.
To bypass channel strip processing, press the selected unit number one click + shift. In bypass mode, the button will glow red.

You can also copy all channel strip settings to another unit. To do this, select the channel strip from which you want to copy the settings, then click on the copy button, then select the channel strip to which you want to copy the settings.

Input Routing
Input Routing lets you choose between 44 common channel setups, starting from Stereo up to 7.1.4 and 9.1.6. Simply select in the input routing module the channel setup that fits your track.

You can also create your own input routing profiles. 16 independent channels are available.

Click on the edit button next to the input routing selection display. Hold down the shift button and select the desired number of channels. Name selected channels in order. Then click save and name the profile.

Channels Selection
In this module, you can select (activate) the channels that the channel strip (unit) will process.

Better than the Voosteq N, you reckon? I've never touched a Neve, but that plugin has VERY peculiar compressor and EQ modules, for my taste. Interesting, with a lot of character, but kind of hard to get used to.

for me, better. my advice is to try this as well and keep the one you like better. for me they went overboard there with the ui. this is simple. very strange that they put the high shelf thingy on the left and bass controls on the right but hey, neve is british , everything is upside down there. it's very clean sounding, voosteq is very colouring, very cool too. i prefer this thing. happy drumming !

ALL the AAX plugins on these bubbiX RRS releases have been completely hosed. Is this one any different?

Well, go to their website, and install any of the "original" AAX, will it show up in PT 12.5?

no idea. never touch un-cracked stuff.

So you're saying all these RRS AAX plugins are hosed up by OEM incompetence? If yes, it wouldn't surprise me - nothing much surprises me anymore about this stuff. There's really no point in continuing to release this RRS shite then is there?

yeah, the patched aax file is included in this release. anyways, u still using pt 12.5? how is it holding up? any crashes?

yep, running AU 12.5 protools.

re: the AAX files for any of these red rock sound releases - Crashes would indicate that the plugin tried to load but failed. In all these cases the AAX's don't even come up in PT as a plugin at all. It's not any list of PT plugins to use. This includes the non-patched OEM versions as well...

loverius is correct - it seems these AAX's are either flawed or incompatible with PT12.5

we only officially test our plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, and Bitwig.

Plugin devs usually don't test if their plugins work in nearly 10 year old DAW versions, so that's not out of the ordinary. They might take a look at it if enough people complain, but I don't think that many are still using legit versions of PT12.5 for it to be an issue for Red Rock Sound.
