Thanks to being able to try this out with this crack the developer made a sale. I thought I was going mad when the sounds were fading out every few seconds trying the demo. How in the hell are you supposed to work out what's going on? They really are stupid sometimes.

So I finally got to demo it by trying this out thank you. It's true, it fills that niche of being quite simple but with a few extras on top if you need it. I'm happy to work by ear and don't need visual feedback most of the time when using a compressor, but this is nice to have because it does seem to actually give you fairly accurate feedback as to when peaks are being chopped down etc. etc.

I bought it because it supports windows 7 and it does work on my old system pretty good. I also like the tone of it when ramping up the compression ratio. You can hit it quite a bit before it breaks apart. It's on sale at the moment otherwise I wouldn't have paid more for it. It's not that expensive, but it's not that cheap either. It's nice being able to resize the interface as well.

Another practical and useful plugin that I probably didn't need, but it will get used. I thought of getting the multiband by them as well as it looks quite nice, but I already have a few of those and hardly end up using them. In that kind of problem area I usually turn to dynamic eq first. I use multiband more for creative stuff.

Hopefully the developers read this and sort out their stupid demo protection. Imagine ducking the audio signal out on a demo of a compressor. The presets only show on the 1 knob simplified version of the plugin as well. You have to select from the easy version of the comp then switch back to full on mode. I thought I was going mad as they are nowhere to be found on the full size version. Luckily it's very easy to switch back and forth.
