You need to uninstall 'Previous Versions of 12 Beta' including startup menu, before you install this version.

Not sure why, every Beta I've installed has started fine once following the steps in the instructions. I would help if I could sorry.

Is it because my Live 11 is still installed? But I installed Live 11 on drive D, not on: C/program data

No, the installer creates a different folder for beta version.

Oh Ok, I still I'm running both 11/12 on the same drive. But if you got it working that's great :-)

Use Revo Uninstaller to monitor the installation, so you'll be able to fully uninstall a software in case of errors.
There is no knowledge that is not power.

no need for Revo, Ableton has a very small payload during its install.

I suspect that you maybe need to delete some settings file.

c:\Users\<<<USER>>>\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\
Here every version (including betas) create their own settings, databases. Deleting them sometimes help fix opening issues. you can try that.

It could be Revo doesnt find it, as its created on program launch, looking for older versions folder and copying them.

Hope you get it solved.

Nope, it doesn't help.
I succeed to get beta12.20 to load once and it didn't appear until I opened Live 11 alongside, then I deleted 12. Now I'm trying to get 12.22 to work because my Live 11 got slow as funk after I had 12 installed (not the program itself but rather VST scan can take years now).
My guess is you have to install it on a clean system to work (maybe not all PC configurations are like that, but some).
I'm still fiddling and trying to figure it out and its my 3rd day now. Madness. I understand it's wrong of me to be mad at producers since I'm using warez but really wtf? Last stable Ableton I had was v10 with -nostartupscan option after that it began to go downhill.

It is recommended, after installation, a first launch during revo monitoring so it can record user data and preferences.

I use revo even knowing Live is semi-portable in case of new/unknown registry data. We never know...

Confirm your CPU is new enough to run it. They state 5th generation i5 or newer now. So anything with AVX2 should run it. My Xeon does not, my media box with a Ryzen 3 1300x does. You can check with a free app like speccy

Did you resolve the issue? I have the same problem
  Resident 18.10.2012 1 331

If your CPU is unsupported, there is no resolving the issue besides asking Santa for a new machine. This will happen more often as we move forward. Maxon C4D 2024/Redshift also has the issue. No AVX2 support, no operation at all.

You said that the minimum requirements is 5th generation i5 or newer. I thought that outdated CPU was my problem, because I use 2011 ASUS G74Sx for music. But I checked my CPU and it is i7. If Live 12 Beta minimum is i5, I wonder why it's not running on i7

5th generation i5/i7/i9. These were released in 2015. Any chips from earlier will not have the AVX2 instruction set in the CPU and so, no support in new ableton. Sorry.

After running the keygen, where is the activation file stored?!

EDIT: Found it.

For some reason this leaves me with a version that doesnt include operator, analog etc. Gives me a popup window saying those are not available in the beta? I installed it on my home desktop on previous patch and it worked perfectly, but on my laptop now I got this issue?
Help any1?

Okay so I solved this. For some reason the installer included seemed to mess things up for me. But i downloaded the official installer from here:
https://cdn-downloads.ableton.com/channels/12.0b23/ableton_live_beta_120b23_64.zip

And then replaced it with the patched version in programdata from this release and then keygen like normal. That worked perfectly.

What’s with the plug-ins? Why don’t all my plug-ins show? Anyone?

Try this: "For some reason the installer included seemed to mess things up for me. But i downloaded the official installer from here:

For some reason my ableton 12 asks for activation file after a while. I'll go back to 11 until this is resolved thanks to the uploader .
  Member 3.11.2020 43

This is not a common problem, though. You must have done something wrong. Did you completely remove Live 11 before installing 12?
  Member 3.11.2020 43

This version is prettier and smoother than Live 11. It runs smoothly on my newer system. Unfortunately, it won't run on my music laptop (2011 ASUS G74Sx.) Hopefully, many people would have this problem to force Ableton to make the finished version run on older machine.
