I had similar issue, try this:
"For some reason the installer included seemed to mess things up for me. But i downloaded the official installer from here:
https://cdn-downloads.ableton.com/channels/12.0b23/ableton_live_beta_120b23_64.zip

And then replaced it with the patched version in programdata from this release and then keygen like normal. That worked perfectly."

Can you post a link to just the keygen? I already have ableton installed and patched it.

I was able to get the keygen, but it would be useful for others since you can get the install files directly from ableton.

Another question.... I noticed theres no way to disable updates under Preferences / Licenses & Updates anymore.... is there a file I can delete to prevent updates?

Delete Web Connector file inside Live12 directory before the first launch. You can as well delete InstalHelper

Grazie di Cuore il 12 promette bene si istalla benissimo con cpu dalla 4 generazione in su' ho riportato vari project del 10 11 e cpu al minimo con piu di 24 tracce e Vsti abbastanza pesanti ,se la beta è cosi sono veramente gia' soddisfatto,non capisco tutti questi problemi ad installare ,semplicissimo è stato spiegato benissimo ,ancora Grazie HAPPY NEW YEAR ........djflo'

I wanted to test this out latest Beta 12 but installing it, its using 7.88GB's of data is that correct for everyone else doesnt sound right too me? If anyone can confirm

Edit: I sorted the problem it was because I still had the old Ableton 12 beta short cut present in the program folder in windows 10 even though it had been uninstalled completely it was doubling up for some reason on data when installing this latest beta version

Make sure if you’re installing these betas you firewall block the web connector else it will trigger and ask for activation sometime when your internets connected there’s no way of clicking of any further update stops like 11x ableton so 12x ableton can run online checks

Got kind of an odd one here. Since Live 10, I've always saved the factory packs onto my sample library driive which is seperate from my C: drive and just told Ableton where to locate the packs and it's worked no problem from 10 and thru 11 and all it's updates. This go round, I pointed Live to the same file location and it lists all the packs but at the bottom of the list it says "Can't retrieve list (Missing authorization)" with an "Unlock" button under it that, when clicked, brings up the auth dialogue. I've drag and dropped the generated .auz file into tthe box and it says thank you and approves the authorization but still wont allow me to use most of the packs. If anyone has any ideas as to how to bypass this block, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Do you guys also get the message "This App Can't Run On Your PC" from Windows with this Ableton version? But Ableton opens after the message and works. I think it is related to the installhelper.exe. If anyone has a suggestion for a solution, please let me know.
