Other Application Notes
Nvidia GPUs with at least 8GBs of V-RAM are recommended.
This application is only compatible with 64-bit platforms.
This application relies on Sox - Sound Exchange for Noise Reduction.
This application relies on FFmpeg to process non-wav audio files.
The application will automatically remember your settings when closed.
Conversion times will significantly depend on your hardware.
These models are computationally intensive. Please proceed with caution and pay attention to your PC to ensure it doesn't overheat. We are not responsible for any hardware damage.

Didn't find any difference between this and what's already out there, same results even with RX10

LOL are you serious, you clearly aren't using it right.

RX 10 sounds like a toy compared to using the uvr ensemble mode with MDX and demucs.

According to my tests the new MDX23C model is a magnitude better than RX10 at removing vocals, the rest can be handled by ht_demucs models and still get better results.

I suggest you experiment with different models and settings as this is designed for intermediate tinkering instead of 2-click user-friendly simple processing as found in iZ tools.

Can you also extract vocals with this, to create acapellas?

Which settings are the best to seperate vocals? MDX or Demucs? Downloaded any other models?

I downloaded the MDX23C-InstVoc HQ, UVR-MDX-Net Inst HQ 3 and the UVR-MDX-Net-Voc_FT models on my old laptop. As per the Audio Separation Discord channel "separation guide", MDX23C might not be the best model to separate just vocals. As per the guide, "It can leave more vocal residues than HQ_3 models for some songs."
For vocals only, the recommened models as per the guide are:
1. UVR-MDX-Net-Voc_FT (If you still have instrumental bleeding, process the result with Kim vocal 2)
2. Alternatively use MDX23C then Voc-FT, "great combination"
3. Ensemble of Voc FT + MDX23C (avg, avg) can work the best in some cases
and a few other models.

I tried #2 (MDX23C). Started the model, went to make a sandwich for myself, finished eating the sandwich and when i came back, the progress bar had moved from 1% to 4% only. And then I re-read the guide and this is what I found:
"Be aware it’s taking much more time to process a song with it, then all previous models. 3:30 track with HQ_3 takes up to 24 minutes on i3-3217u while the new model takes 737 minutes (precisely 1:34 vs 41:00 for 15 seconds song)."
So running MDX23C on my laptop was out of the question. Didn't want to wait an entire day to extract vocals from a 4 minute song
So i switched to #1 (UVR-MDX-Net-Voc_FT)
Ran it. Good a very good result in a few minutes and then as per another post on the discord channel, ran Goyo to remove residual static left on the background track after the stem separation.

But in all honesty, for that same song, the best vocal separation I got was from the mvsep website. (Separation type: MDX23C. Vocal model type: 8K FFT). a litte Fewer artifacts compared to UVR5.

If you have a powerful CUDA powered system then go for the latest MDX23C-InstVoc HQ model from UVR 5 but beware! It takes a lot of time. Otherwise you can use the other models i just mentioned above.

737 minutes? Wow. That's too much. Thanx for the suggestions. I will check them out.

better than rip x or no?
  Resident 8.02.2016 191

Yes. better. I was using RipX but this one is much cleaner at vocal seperation.

I used lot of tools to testing what is the best tool.
Izotope RX10 is okay for Assistant Repair (de-klick, de-harshness, de-noise etc)
HitNMix RipX is the best seperation tool i ever seen. The Vocals are Crystal clear (The original quali is clear too).

I gave this a good try and compared saved stems from this and RipX and to be honest RipX is slightly more better when it comes to separating the sounds from a track they just sound more crisp and clear I suggest stick with RipX for this sort of thing

I thought the oppposite. RipX leaves some instrument on the vocals when I compared to this. And this is much more clearer about the "s" voices.

Thanks for this info. And maybe you can't answer this, but what if you are on Mac and the latest cracked version of RipX is v.6.0.2? (It looks like that version came out on windows in November or 2022.)

Question: Which model do you suggest for separating guitars?
  Member 2.11.2022 13

htdemucs_6s which can be downloaded and which gives the option to just separate guitar stems

I would suggest to use this Colab version of the MDX23C model. It's really fast and you can also use it for 4 STEMS. The result is "amazing" (as Rick Beato always says :-))
