NotePerformer is the Artificial Intelligence-based playback engine for musical notation.

• Full orchestral sound library
NotePerformer includes its own sounds, encompassing a large-scale modern symphonic orchestra.

• Intelligent musical phrasing
NotePerformer analyses your score and performs all instruments with natural musical phrasing.

• Simple installation and easy to use
NotePerformer is very easy to install, and is no more difficult to use than the built-in sounds of your notation software.

• High-end library support
'NotePerformer Playback Engines' hosts and applies our technologies to selected third-party VST3 libraries.

• Fast access to all sounds
No more waiting for samples to load while working with scores. Our streamlined sounds load much quicker.

• Patented virtual instrument technologies
We use our own in-house technologies, bridging the gap between samples and synthesis.

New in NotePerformer 4:

• Playback Engines
- 'NotePerformer Playback Engines' hosts third-party VST3 instruments; replacing our built-in sounds with selected samples by leading developers.
- It's our unified solution for high-end notation playback — NotePerformer-compliant dynamics and articulation without the technical effort.
- The application is bundled with NotePerformer 4.

It definitely is, I own it for windows and it much much better than the Sibelius sounds und of course much lighter (less than 1 GB)
but since the new sounds for Musescore It's became more and more obsolete for me but nevertheless it's a good plugin.

even new (4th) version become obsolete? nothing new usefull ?

with obsolete I refered to Sibelius.
The only reason why I'm still using Sibelius is because of all the scores I've done with it in the past. As you probably know, to export/import scores from one prog to another is at least time consuming because usually you have to re-edit more or less manually.

Musescore maybe free, but you are limited to what you can actually do with it at a professional level. There is a more complete version called Musescore Pro+. Which comes with a subscription service. Musescore Pro+ is $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year.

I still think noteperformer 4 is the best option at the end of the day. Now that we have VST support.

I think there is an misunderstanding in regard to Musescore.
Musescore and it's sounds are completely free. To what you are refering is the access to their webarchiv, so that you can download scores which other people have done and which are stored on their site. But using Musescore with all of its features is as memtioned completely free.

Thanks for the upload.. but I can't get the AU plugin working. Keeps crashing validation - I've tried everything ie (codesign - de-quarantine etc) But logic won't pass it. Any suggestions!

It does not function like Kontakt, will not load on any DAW, and can only be used with Sibelius, Dorico and Finale notation apps. Check out NP homepage for more information

Hey Keldy, thanks for getting back. Sure no worries. I'll delete the plugin logic keeps complaining about. Cheers.
