is it possible to compile all the expansions in v.r version ?
i mean they can use mp3 versions of all expansions like a simple sample pack and combine it with setup .
installing GBs of Drum sample library is mind killing .

I hope not. Creating music using mp3 versions of samples is a crime against humanity, anyone who would choose that is someone who should not be producing audio.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it evil -ha! But I agree, MP3 is a lossy format. With the route our audio has to go through before it even gets to the listener on their mostly not great playback source, it's best to keep it as good as possible at the top of the chain.

MP3 can't handle stretching, pitching, tuning or any other manipulation technique at all, while WAV can do that really really well before breaking up beautifully at the extreme and accidentally created a new genre like dubstep (jk, lol).

In EZD3 you can import your samples to use in their algos but you'll need SD if you wish to manipulate them. So, there's certainly options. If you have a set of samples you've already honed to your preference you can bring them in to EZD3 (new feature via drag/drop) and use them at will. Not exactly the answer to your specific question but know it's a thing. So, have a kick sample you want to use? Drag/drop onto the kick drum in the Drums tab graphic... done. Just don't move the sample source. EZD3 doesn't actually import the sound itself but the file location, so it depends on the location to be able to play the sample. Again, just know it's a thing.

I do not agree. They are two products with very different targets, the Drummer is a "Plug n Play" and Superior is for professionals who also have to work on the sound by manipulating hundreds of parameters. Personally I much prefer Superior.

Exactly. And also there is the big difference in the "tracker" function that in EZD3 is very limited compared to SD.
In Superior Drummer you can separe and convert to midi the single elements of the audio drum mix. In EZD3 it's impossible, in fact it can only find a groove pattern that is similar to a given audio/midi track. You can change many parameters and as a plug n play solution is very useful, but as the function name also suggest is more an accompaniment, the SD tracker function is on another league.

A lot and there's an option to delete duplicates when installing.

I noticed few new packs such as Platinum Grooves and Death Metal Anthology. That is not all, have yet to check them all.

Before you uninstall or cleanup the last version: This new version is sans VST2 .dll, I am guessing by dictate of Toontrack. So if you need it to jbridge to x86, don't delete the .dll. I am doing the figuring now about it all haha. But V.R rocks.

How do you load EZX libraries in this? Every time I try any of my EZ Drummer libraries it says
"This library needs to be updated. Use Toontrack update...etc"

Nothing works. What libraries?

No problems at all here, all the kits are working fine. I already had EZdrummer 2 installed and v3 automatically recognises the library paths. As I said more details are needed, about your setup, version numbers of individual libraries, and so on.

there are separate release of the EZX bank with "UPDATE" added to the tittle, you need to install that to update those library. Those libraries have versions as well, check and make sure you update them to the latest version so it would work with EZDrummer3.

But, do EZX libraries work in EZ Drummer 3 if they have *not* been released on Audioz as "UPDATE", I'm confused. Or are we limited to *only* the "UPDATE" libraries at this time with EZ3?

as for now, ALL EZX libraries works with EZDrummer3. ALL updates for ALL libraries have been released. You just need to look for them.

Install the main library, then install the update over it. Some library even need 2 updates to be applied over them.

Some of the Update releases are no longer here and you need to look for them at the tracker site. Those files are all over the place and you need patience to find, sort and install them one by one. I did that 2-3 years ago and been keeping them all up to date until now and been managing everything since, because I know it is hard to get them all back. It's there, but you need to look for them, patiently.
