I installed it and it did do some stuff with the presets, but after that I intalled the 22 04 presets without issue and all is back.

From the image, I assume it is version 9, am I right?
Someone who had already downloaded it can tell if CMI V and Emulator II V, don't have problem finding their samples like the last release?, thanks in advance.

I finally intalled it, and both, CMI V and Emulator II V have the same problem as the previous release, CMI V doesn't have sample folder defined, and Emulator II doesn't have presets folder defined

EDIT: SOLUTION, Standalone installation must be made, otherwise sample based synths will come up with error.

Solution to this when I've encountered this (including THIS exact release) is to check for Windows Updates and install them. It seems weird, but it works. It might have to do with .NET framework updates specifically, as that's what I just installed. Anyways.. just trust me on that, check for any pending Windows updates, and install if there.. let your PC reboot, ensure more updates aren't pending when you've rebooted, then try again.

Thanks, it did need updating but did not resolve the issue after restarting. In the end i close everything i could in the windows tray & it worked. I will try & establish which specific app it was.

I installed over V Collection 8 from V.R without any issue. So I still have a V3 CS-80 from 8 that works, and a working V4 CS-80 from 9, for example.

On another forum, several people solved this by turning off Mandatory ASLR in control panel, for the duration of the installation. The error didn't happen on my machine, either in Windows 10 or 7, so I can't vouch for solution that myself.

VR installs a stub, "do nothing" version of the ASC. Frankly it's not strictly necessary anymore as their recent cracks are no longer invalidated by running or installing the true ASC. But back to 2020 cracks, their Analog Lab 4 is definitely becoming demo again as soon as the real ASC is installed. And becomes "licensed" against when you uninstall the real ASC. I don't know exactly why that happens, but it's 100% reproducible for me. Which is probably why VR still installs that stub ASC, even though it seems to do nothing for their later cracks.
