MAXIMUM SONIC IMPACT
• Virtual-analog architecture for colossal sound.
• Equally flexible in the studio or on stage.
• Comprehensive library with 1,300 huge presets.

THE HEAVYWEIGHT SYNTHESIZER
The synth that defined bass music, this powerhouse synthesizer is an uncompromising sonic monster and the go-to choice for bass music and electro producers.

A MODERN MASTERPIECE
MASSIVE is a sonic monster – the ultimate synth for basses and leads. The virtual-analog concept belies the contemporary, cutting-edge sound it generates. Clearly laid out and easy to use, MASSIVE gives you earth-shuddering sounds from the very first note.

UNCOMPROMISING SOUND
MASSIVE gives your tracks a solid foundation with the creamiest, punchiest basses. Razor-sharp leads cut through the mix even with grit and dirt piled high. And an overwhelming array of wavetable oscillators, modulation options, and filters and effects offer a sonic spectrum as broad as it is inspiring.

MASSIVE SELECTION
MASSIVE contains over 1300 sounds, all crafted by leading artists and sound designers. The efficient search and intuitive filter functions let you find presets according to specific characteristics and attributes – a particularly musical and intuitive approach.

CENTER STAGE
MASSIVE is ideal for live performance. The integrated step sequencers, effects, and a highly flexible modulation concept deliver incredible versatility. All these features have been implemented with a focus on usability so MASSIVE is just as easy to use on a hectic stage as it is in the studio.

Enter the password and enter again
Ready

Thanks, still didn't work though unfortunately :(

I'm getting issues with installing many Native Instruments programs to be honest, i can't install any expansions, factory libraries etc.
They appear to be installing fine then right at the very end i get an 'Installation failed' message.

Working great here on Mojave. I hit all the patched stuff with Permissions Reset before installing. On my machine, it automatically rebuilt the database the first time I launched the standalone. It's a bummer that the GUI still can't be resized, but other than that, it works just fine!

Anybody else having issue where paths set in the option to User Locations for the Database are reset once Massive (standalon or plugin) is restarted under Big Sur?

Really annoying. I think that's a bug. It happens with the legit version as well.

EDIT:

I found a way to fix this:

1. Delete com.native-instruments.Massive.plist from:
- Library > Preferences and from
- User Folder > Library > Preferences
2. Run the Standalone App
3. Go to File > Options > Database
4. Click on "Add" to add more Directories to the Database. (I usually add the Maschine Expansions folder to this, since these include with a lot of Massive presets)
5. Click "Rebuild DB"
6. Hit "OK"

You should see a cycling progress indicator next to the NI Logo. That means it's scanning locations. Click on the Browser Tab and see the list of banks growing.

7. Once, scanning is complete, quit the App
8. Go to You user Library > Preferences and find com.native-instruments.Massive.plist
9. (Optional) Open the plist with a plist editor (such as this) and check if the key "SNDSoundPath 1" or subsequent keys "SNDSoundPath 2", etc (if you added more than one path) contains the path to the preset location you added in Step 4. If, so, you can close the file.
10. Copy the .plist over to your Library > Preferences Folder

Done. Enjoy

To get VSTs working use terminal commands

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "drag your vst from library here"

for good measure also used (not sure actually necessary but may have helped)

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - "drag your vst from library here"

Working in bitwig 4.4 (vst3 only for some odd reason) and ableton 11.3.13 (Both vsts). Should work in other DAWs. I'm on monterey & on intel mac. Reckon this will work on most Macos versions. Your mileage may vary. Original massive a lot better than Massive X for what I need. Everything else seems working. Think I may have done same commands with .AU as vsts but .AU is working in Logic. Pretty standard stuff if you've been around the block.
Thanks Trazor!
