Received an error because I uninstalled previous version before installing this one. Should've install it on top of the previous version.

Solved by installing the R2R latest release and installing this on top of it and activates it with the R2R Keygen.

after installation NI Battery 4.20 is again in Demo mode and has to be reinstalled again.
And when launching hardware Maschine MK3 the Maschine MK3 audio interface produce a nasty sound on the right channel for a few seconds, beware your speakers!
Is probably caused by a project where Battery is loaded. Under 2.14.5 there was no problem with this.
Update: The sound issue with Maschine also happened with other saved projects where Battery was not used.
Update:
I went back to Maschine 2.14.5, problems gone. OK, also 2.14.5 set back Battery to Demo Mode but after reinstalling Battery it was fixed.
So there are two issues with this Maschine release here:
- it sets back Battery4 to demo (also happens with v2.14.5)
- it produces a nasty potential speaker damaging sound on the right channel
when using the audio interface of Maschine hardware.

So if someone wants test it lower your volume of your Maschine in your mixer before testing.

the wrong VR registration located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Battery 4
can be conflictual with the Maschine setup registred products scan.

if you delete VR SNO, KEY, SYSTEMID at this location before install the maschine setup. all will be ok. you can also replace it with a valid R2R license

the maschine fix is still the same in all 2.14.x versions.
your demo issue is a VR battery installer regedit trouble.

the VR fix packed in the original 32bit Ni setup, using R2R keygen is more compatible and clean for the system.

for the hardware issue i cant check it, i have none.

yeah, Battery I got working with known deletions of registry keys. The real problem that stills exists is the hardware issue. This package causes a CPU spike of 100% from a few seconds to a few minutes you can see in the Maschine software and probably therefor produces the nasty sound. With 2.14.5 there wasn't this hardware issue.

in fact the VR installer generate a ras3 file.

this file is needed even with the R2R keygened serial

to copy here to replace the wrong VR serial
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Battery 4
or delete the 3 sub entries KEY,SNO,SYSTEMID

and keep in place the R2R registration at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Native Instruments\Battery 4

it is a mix of ras3 + regedit serial to unlock.

I don't understand exactly what you mean. The file 3671d444-6778-42f1-a616-e8ad35c0d602.jwt does exist and Battery is working. I have deleted SNO, KEY, SYSTEMID at this location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Battery 4. Should I delete the whole registry branch ?
The other branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Native Instruments\Battery 4 does also exist with existing keys SNO, KEY, SYSTEMID. Do I miss anything? All this with your earlier version 2.14.5.

With your latest version I got also all working with the exception of the hardware issue.

keep it with the InstallDir location in place.

the registration circus is:
jwt file (ras3 registration mode) come's from VR installer. but it write wrong regedit key values (ras2 registration mode).
and the good serial value is from R2R keygen. (ras2 is the older previous mode)

you'll need both to get a working version. + regedit manual edit over VR installer


i repacked the all thing using the Original Battery installer + a regedit cleaning tool.

the result is a better install (as the original) 100% compatible with the Maschine Setup over. nothing is broken.

the products management used in this Maschine version seems to give this demo result on Battery if it use a wrong serial at this place.
i don't know what they are cooking at Ni. maybe it is linked to the new native access registration scheme, the v2 is actually in beta testing.

it also can be a bug result due to this strange mixed registration scheme. not really officially intended.

I get same Nasty sound on the right channel spiking every time i launch this release as well & only goes away after loading any preset or sampler module
