if they cracked falcon, reason, ilok and more im pretty sure the r2r gods wont have any problems with this one ;) really looking forward to trying out those vult and instruo ones in the daw. and will be nice to at least be able to utilize higher buffers of reaper since the standalone under-runs so very easily.

VCV rack 2 Pro VST version seems VERY buggy right now, crackers may wait for a real working 2.1 (?) version before working on it ... ;-)

I like the Free version very much ! and i don´t need a cracked VST Version of this superb freeware. As i work with Hardware synths and some Tablets, i have found the Ultimate solution : I have installed VCV Rack on my Surface Tablet, and the Tablet is fully integrated in my Studio via Midi, so my DAW can use the Surface Tablet like an external synth ! This way have the advantage that the CPU Power used by VCV Rack will NOT affect my DAW in any way :-)

cpu load is till pretty high, but it looks great. love the new adsr & scope. batumi module is very nice , befaco's muxlicer & chopping kinky , & the newer mutable ripples and streams

I don't like the new VCV Seq 8 though. Where are the row outputs? Are they ripping out functionality so as to keep it for the paid version?

Edit: oh, I see them now. They've just moved and relabeled as CV1, CV2, CV3.

having had a chance to use the vst2 it seems quite stable for the most part. it's mostly the modules by 3rd party developers that have caused crashes and instability for me. usually when automating. from what i've read, many module developers are all still scrambling to get their modules updated to be able to be automated. but the good modules - vcv core ones, bog, vult, valley, geodesics, audible, impromptu and instruo - they all seem quite stable so far for me.

Did anyone try this on OSX 10.13? I was really interested in MiRack for $10, but it doesn't have VST2. I was also looking at Softube's Modular, but the modules aren't all free.

Download the new version. They added them and more modules this past week.
Also alright devices are back.
I guess it takes them time to get all the modules from VCV1 updated to VCV2.
