Fix for NKS

NKS folder in AppData\Roaming\Reveal Sound\ is mistakenly named as "MKS"

rename it to "NKS" and open Mashine/Kompete again to rescan. Additionally, get this and add the folders inside "User Content" for earlier factory sound previews, the V.R release didn't include them all.

This supposes it has soundbanks bundled with it, but maybe not all the soundbanks available everywhere on the Web...

There's 54,704 presets included.

That should be enough, I think. If you spent 15 seconds on each preset, it would take you 228 hours to preview them all. That's almost 4 full 24 hour days!

I have around 1000 sbf banks and many are included in this release, the thing is that I could find duplicates easily, now I'm fucked...I see that all have been converted in spf2 format, I tried to export, convert my sbf banks to spf2, to find duplicates but I can't find it...Any help?
If VR could provide all banks in sbf format too, it would save my life...

Try this:

- open Spire,
- press library (click ok to bypass the error (11) warning if it appears
- press options (top right)
- In here take note of the default workspace path. For me this was user/appdata/roaming/revealsound/banks folder.
- This is where the 50k+ presets are currrently stored
-So move or copy and paste everything except for the workspace data base file to a different folder.
-Now change the default workspace path to the path where you just copied all the presets.
-Now press rescan in Spire
-It will take a while, but all the presets should eventually appear in the User Library after reindexing is complete

thanks, i try exactly according to your instructions , but on my system Spire banks dont show after rescan. i try more then once.

delete the workspace.db
Spire will make a new one, when it starts again and it will show up the Factory Content.
Then copy all Presets back into "Bank" and Rescan.
If dont wanna wait for all Presets, just copy 2-3 Presetfolder and Rescan, it will work.

the presets in the previous version comes in sbf (Soundbank) format, 1 file for each soundbank.

this version, the presets come in spf2 (Single Preset) format, but nicely organized into folders of dev/brands. Thanks V.R. I LOVE IT SO MUCH THIS WAY!

If you install on top of the previous version, most likely you will get duplicates because it wont overwrite the previous preset banks.

Also it is installed into different folders in the VST location, also duplicates ddl. Most likely DAW like Reaper wont find the dll because it will prioritize what it found first.

Copy your old presets folder elsewhere, uninstall, then do clean installation. Then copy back you favourite soundbank to the newly created preset location. I just checked, 99% of the previous version soundbank is present in this new release.

I do wish the devs would allow the arp speed to be freed up, and to assign controllers to the arp speed, and anything else than can't have a controller to be able to have one. Other than that this is still one of the best soft synth.
