I don't understand why the last version also was called 5.0 He has done this with several plug-ins now. Why not just call this one 6.0 or maybe 5.1?

New revision. Start from scratch. No need to bother with backward compatibility. That's one of the things I dislike by many devs. (Izotope being one of the worst). A new revision makes the old obsolete, so in the future you may not be able to open old song projects with the same sound, if the given plugin is no longer working with your OS. But I guess it's OK when it comes to Analog Obsession, as it's freeware and as concept it seems to be permenantly under construction.

This is a time waste when you done songs years old and cannot get the to plugin launch due to changes. Most users do not write settings when using plugins.

I haven't used AO in the past, are the new versions also called differently, like OSS5, OSS6 etc., so you load different plugins technically, or does the new version replace the dll of the old one? Because if it's the former I'm cool with lost compatibility
