Analog Obsession G395a v1.0 VST VST3 AU WiN MAC [FREE] screenshot
FREE | 15 April 2021 | 30.7 MB
Here New - Old Jam G395a!

It was (and still it is) an early 70s discrete/Class A 3-Band EQ with selectable mid and fixed hi/lo frequencies. Vintage transformer models on both the inputs and outputs.

In digital world, we have auto-gain compensation, now! EQ moves won't affect gain of signal instead tone!

And also, oversampling will make it smoother!

- LOW: fixed 60 Hz +/- 15 dB in 3 dB steps
- HIGH: fixed 10 kHz +/- 15 dB in 3 dB steps
- MIDS: 700 Hz - 1 - 1.4 - 2 - 3 kHz with 0 to 8 dB gain 2 dB steps
- PLUGIN LABEL (Bottom right): Bypass button. It's red and when you click it to bypass plugin, it will turn to white.
- ANALOG OBSESSION LOGO: Oversampling. It will turn to red when oversampling is engaged. Also, show you a notification.

***You will notice plugin's file is named as "GGGGa". But you will see it in DAW as "G305a".

Why is that?

there's only a select few of his that i actually trust enough to keep using in projects.. he burned me(and many others) in the beginning by releases so many untested super buggy ones... but i think enough people complained to him that he's at least getting better about testing his shit first before releasing it to the public.

I'm sorry but I just had to respond. When you say "burned you" to me that really comes off as arrogant, harsh and just plain ungrateful. The guy doesn't charge a penny for what he does. Not one penny! I've been on sister sites and seen only a handful of others complain too but wow how can people like you complain when someone gives you something for free dude??? This guy is doing this on his own time and on his own dime and just generously giving it away. I mean wtf?? Some people just don't how to appreciate anything.

Actually he used to sell them. Like the guy above you said, he made a few decent sounding plugins and a whole bunch of others that were very buggy. People who bought from him said that his customer support was non-existent. He would release stuff for ridiculous prices and then make them free a week later. He apparently even tried to sell his company but he couldn't get any takers. The dude seems pretty sketch.

looks like it, sad we don't have Soundtoys SIE-Q to compare it with.

A nice smooth EQ both on low and high end, plus auto-gain compensation!

can someone explain why autogain is to sought after? I thought there are no absolutes in audio - meaning that If I make a compress or eq something I can afford for it to be quieter or louder. Is that not a thing?
  Member 30.11.2020 23 780
lol, auto-gain is just a feature that make things easier if you know what you are looking for. other than that it depends on how the user like to work. Also it is time saving and speed up the workflow.

you can make everything louder or quieter with EQ or compressor depends on what you are looking for really, some people love doing gain-staging more and more, some not doing it at all and like to make everything loud only making sure it is not clipping, and pull everything down after (in the end) but still manage to make hit tracks.

I like it because my workflow includes managing the dynamic and RMS level of everything from the beginning so I can squeeze a lot of volume but still maintain acceptable dynamic range in the end. Auto-gain just speed things up for me.

I don't think there is one right way of doing it, it depends on how you work, the music and gear (analog, digital or hybrid) etc.

As previously on our AZ Channel :
Telefunken W395 EQ 3-Channel Discrete Class A 3-Band Equalizer

This discrete class A 3-band equalizer lets you cut or boost 10 dB of 60 Hz and 10 kHz and the top knobs let you chose a presence frequency and boost it.

The texture of the unit is very subtle and airy, the EQ-d tracks sit right in the mix, whether it is vocals, strings or stereo bus.

Starting at approx 1200 € on Reverb.
