Two Notes Audio Engineering has announced that until the 30th of April, their Torpedo Wall of Sound speaker cabinet simulator plugin will be available for free to anyone.

Specifically, if you download the plugin by the date indicated above, you will receive a lifetime license along with two virtual cabinets (Brit VintC and Watt FanC).

From Two Notes Audio Engineering: “Torpedo Wall of Sound is a speaker and miking simulation plugin. You can feed it with a dry amp track coming from one of our Torpedo digital or analog loadboxes (silent miking of a tube amp), the sound coming from our preamplifiers such as Le Crunch or Le Bass, or replace the speaker simulation section of your favorite amp modeling plugin. Torpedo Wall of Sound can be used to load any Two Notes virtual cabinet that you bought or got with a hardware Torpedo product.”

Features:

mix up to 20 cabs inside a single plugin instance.
stereo processing
3 plugin sizes (S, M and XL)
presets are compatible with all the Torpedo range of products
shortcuts available to speed up your workflow while working with the plugin
Torpedo Wall of Sound is available in VST, VST3, AU, AAX or RTAS plugin versions for Windows and macOS.

After you download the plugin, you’ll have to register it in order to obtain a license. Create an account at Two Notes Audio Engineering and see the details there.

I actually bought this thing with a few cabinets 2 or 3 years ago, and I don't even use it.
unless there's been changes, you've got to be connected to the internet in order to access your cabs,
bad GUI
sound quality is not bad, but average

Agreed 100.
For free simulators, I've been wicked impressed with the STL Ignite Emissary bundle.

I will take a look at that... I'm considering best options to renew my gear(s) and there's gonna be a greater balance between hardware and software.

so far - not this one, but all these releases have helped me to make wise choices regarding what I really need and what I really have a use for

In that case I'll pass. Always online-software is fucking useless.

I totally disagree with the previous comments.

For me it is really good through right twiking, and it's also very versatile and quick to set !
I can recommend also MixIR3, those two ("mixir3" and "wall of sound") provide a quick solution for cutting through the mix guitars without sounding thin or fizzy but also sounding full.
Way better than average. I recommend this and MixIR3 to anyone that wants a good tone while having a lot of control in the process. I feel like the twiking choises it provides make up for things you could do by micing a real cab in order to achieve a specifing tone.

I used mostly STL for amps and the result was good

Also i personally don't like amplitube cabs... They sound papery to my ears
(I respect other opinions , many things in sound are matter of taste, just make it clear to avoid any misunderstandings)

Sorry for any misspelled words or grammar thingys that happened.

only 2 cabs with this free version (marshall and hiwatt). Ive been using the hardware ever since it came out. It's very good imo, much better than anything else I tried over the years, no matter whether it was software or hardware based. But there's a learning curve to it and not all cabs work with all gear. Some combinations defo get you better results than others.
The software has been updated a lot over the years, it is now not too bad but a bit sluggish at time, and not super user friendly but once it's set, there's no real need to tweak it again.
Again, works best with good gear, real gear, like tube heads, high end preamp, etc. I use it with a Diezel Herbert mostly and it destroys everything! ah ah
Just my input after nearly 10 years of intensive use....to each their own!
Both the eyes are one-sided. For the perfect balance, you need Shiva’s third eye :D

agree on the ik sounding papery. this is nice, too many options, bad gui. STL is the ampsim for every genre. no frills just pure tone. th-u sounds better than STL's but again, too many options. s-gear2&th-u r top-notch

Be prepared for when they ask for your name, phone number, address and date of birth.
  Resident 5.04.2017 415

Are there actually people who use their real name, address and phone number to download free plugins?

Probably. I suggest you write down what you first give them, because you will need it again later to authorize the plugin. That's what I really meant by "be prepared".

Even if your write down your real name and adress they will not and can't do anything to turn those information against you.
Its a company, and like every other company they dont have a reason to mess with you, they dont care about you, they only need your wallet. Even if they have a reason to mess with you, they wont risk any complications involving loyers etc... I advise you to type real name and adress in order to recall them incase you ll need them later.
Never ... NEVER type real information (in case you have to) in pirated version activations (its obvious for some, i know ... but for some guys we have to mention it again!)
