I wish these were also in ableton 8 format, I am back on Live 8 because v9 is too buggy and resource hungry. Live 9 always crashes, Live 8.4 is stable.

Maybe it's your system or your VSTs?

Another upgrade to think about is to switch to a HQ sound interface - after I got rid of my shitty Fast Track Pro (now running a Scarlett) I never again had any ASIO related crashes.

Live 9 runs completely fine with nearly no crashes on my system.
