if in the need for the most exotic scale files, after reading this tutorial for converting scl files to tun files, download the collection of over 4400 scale files for the scala program (perhaps contains scales not included in the above collection).

if there is only one scl file to convert, the following link points to one convenient solution for such purposes.

hey,

the scl, tun, files make it possible to play different tunings, key intervals, on your keyboard, for excample arabic, indian, japanese, scales, instead of the default western tempered one (usable for key by key, arpeggiated, gated, etc. playing modes).
with the help of the scale program, you can even define your imaginary scales for using them in quite loads of software instruments (the list of these is worth one search, just include the word microtonal).

Microtuning FTW! I'm quite puzzled why there are so few synths that offer this. There's a universe of harmonic plethora out there, and we are usually stuck with 12 TET.

Thanks, but... the include readme.txt says: ".tun files for Zebra2. Put it in directory : /u-he/Tunefiles".
I don't get it.
Is this for Zebra2 or Serum? Or both?

zebra takes the files also, not exclusively for serum

Tune files are for any software that works with different tunings such as Omnisphere, Serum, Zebra, etc. They are just files with tuning information which is a standard. Think of it like VSTs which can be used in any host that works with VST because it's standardized.
