SoundTec 432 Vintage Parametric Disk Master eQ

It has been an honor for me to work on this Vintage Parametric Disk Master eQualizer, a wonderful and classic creation by Mr.Burgess Macneal. I have totally refurbished the unit, restoring it to it’s original and beautiful sound, along with two mods done at request by the owner to make it more suitable for Mastering. The original Gain step has been changed from +/-12dB to +/-6dB and an additional High Shelf Filter at the Air Frequency of 16kHz has been added. Now this Holy Grail of equalizers fully expresses sweetness and musicality. It's not colored or necessarily “warm”, but it is subtle, focused, detailed, fast, immediate and extremely natural. The more you listen it, you begin to notice a little something “special” imparted across the audio signal... Simply Beautiful.

At the end the owner has allowed me to sample the unit, so with a lot of care to not damage the delicate circuits. It's not only a matter of banal 0VU = 0,775v but an accurate matching in signal, i/o impedance, filtered power supply, invisible converters and more. Now I'm glad to offer you the sound of this rare marvel for your music production, thanking you for the support that will allow me to keep on developing these programs.

The programs:

Carefully sampled @ 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96kHz, without introduction of noise or aliasing, in a professional recording studio with custom converters built specifically for NAT3 which outperforms $20k commercial converters. High end cables, with particular care to the connections, levels and impedance matching were used to translate the sonic qualities of this priceless devices into the Nebula software technology. Every volume change, gain change, frequency change is tested and accurately programmed without destructive digital processing for optimized sound and then compared to the original device. The result is a virtually indistinguishable digital replication of this landmark device.
The programs don't sound processed, harsh or digital as most plugins do, but instead sound like a natural extension of the original audio, gluing your tracks in the mix with an analog vibe.

Can someone explain how to install all this libraries for Nebula?

Unzip the files depending on os for pc theres a folder c/n4repository open it then drag the folders from the zip to the n4 library.Then open the finder to use the presets.You can use the setups tab to make seperate plugins of each library.Hope this helps?

the library works, it is just when you add the skin and try to setup a standalone vst, it never works. then everything becomes messy when you try to load the starting one. I followed everything step by step still the Setup failed with "program missing". It will create a VST, but no interface/skin even when I selected the right skin.

I checked everything in the Settings, everything is proper.

Did you click ok for error save plugin and then drop setup folder from release back to n4repository then rescan your plugins ?Sometimes I need to completely restart my daw (I use s1 v5) If so next step use notepad++ and check the setup xml files compared to the program files .i litterly just turned my computer off when I wake up i will check mine out asap.The tim p 32a setup xml needed to be edited for some weird reason if thats the case ill fix it and post it.Ive done lots of these setups some ive made on my own by just grouping a library so its contained and when I go to finder only that specific library shows up most these skins work flawlessly but even for some are a hassle.

haven't try this one. also need to learn how to edit the XML, I have no idea what to be done inside the XML.

Ok I have notepad ++ added to my right click menu in windows not sure what your on ? So if your on mac you will need to find a xml editor i assume theres xml on Mac idk.But the libraries don't change for Mac thats why the assumption.Anyway inside the n4repository c/n4tempresppsitory (my bad everyone i didn't know it said temp).There's a setup folder find the xml for the library your having trouble with.Mines set up so I can right click the xml and it opens notepadd++ you can also open notepad++ and go to that folder.When you open the xml files it will show you all the program files( n2p ) that library is looking for and if even 1 letter is off it will screw the library up sometimes 96 and 44 get mixed up it just depends.Example.... tim 32a library when I opened the setup xml file it was looking for a program file that didn't have (all) at the end but the program file from the release did so you type in or copy the program file from the respective library and paste it into the xml and save.Rescan your plugins and it should work.

I dont know what happened maybe I was to tired last night I forgot to move the skins folder properties all that.After moving them it works.I saved it with the error and then dropped all files from inside skins/n4 and it works for me rememeber there might be a 96khz skin but the release only has 44khz.

The "1K" bands to the left of the GUI are clean. Select the "5K" bands to the right instead, then the harmonics control will work.
