Any news regarding zebra 3 ?

A ton of trailer/movies/etc producers must be waiting for the next big modular thing called zebra 3, since ages !

Zebra 3 and diva 2: at least 80% of the current diva 1/zebra 2 owners will get the new version, on release day...

Too bad plugin makers squander at least 70% of the dev time on the countless macOS updates.
They are coding a new plugin, it must be compatible with , eg, v10.6 as well as the upcoming v10.7, the older v10.5 plugins, they must update them to work with v10.6...
With a new macOs versions released every x months, often , with core changes and major incompatibilities, plugin devs must go crazy, to keep all the plugins updated and ready to work with a ton mac versions.
And at the end, they probably use 70% of the dev time on mac, while the mac users only represent 10 or 20% of the global sales.

Just saying. .. :)

I wonder what Audiounits does better than vst...what new features it brought to the table, that the vst standard couldn't do...
Or is it just another 'macromedia flash'... where apple don't want to depend on standards they didn't create. ..

Just like steinberb communicates with microsoft, couldn't apple just ask steinberg 'hey, guys, we need these 2 or 3 features implemented in the vst... can you do it?'....

.and today, both windows and mac users could be using a much better vst.. and devs wouldn't have to spend extra years on vst and audiounits versions.

Hey, that's the apple we love, right... or hate...

Anyway... zebra 2 still sounds incredible, the are still plenty of sound designers creating new soundsets for it.
