Cannot install this because there is no ".omnisphere" file. Just putting the bank files into the steam folder and refreshing the browser did not work either.

It appears in the Directory for me just as it's supposed to. I placed the library where all O2 libraries go:

Library > Application Support > Spectrasonics > STEAM > Omnisphere > Settings Library > Patches

..then restart O2 and refresh the library. It will appear in your O2 Directory.
