Cinesamples CineWinds Pro KONTAKT-AKADEMiC screenshot
TEAM AKADEMiC | 11 November 2013 | 16,2 GB
CineWinds PRO is comprised of entirely new orchestral woodwind sample content, and as with CineWinds CORE, it was proudly recorded at the SONY Scoring Stage and mixed by Dennis Sands. CineWinds CORE contains the standard orchestral woodwinds — piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon. For CineWinds PRO, we went beyond the essentials
to bring you exceptional instruments, such as the alto flute and contrabassoon, as well as a comprehensive selection of ethnic woodwind instruments, performed by expert William Lyons, who sampled the exact instruments he played in many film scores, including The Hobbit by director Peter Jackson.

WHAT DOES CINEWINDS PRO COME WITH?

01 Alto Flute Articulations
02 Alto Flute True Legato
03 Bass Flute Articulations

As with CineWinds CORE, we assembled a team of the finest musicians and crew — we found great comfort and amazing sounds at the SONY Scoring Stage, recorded and mixed by the unparalleled engineer Dennis Sands. The woodwinds in CineWinds PRO are covered with the same depth and nuance as the instruments in CineWinds CORE, and William Lyons gives us a series of ethnic woodwinds of such expressiveness and detail rarely heard in orchestral sample libraries. The PRO expansion features twice the content of the CORE library, and we hope you enjoy every bit of it.

simon.james,

Just to name a few:

8Dio V8P 8W Black Edition

8Dio Claire Flute Virtuoso, Hybrid Rhythms, Rhythmic Aura, Hybrid Tools I, and other various 8Dio libraries

Some Spitfire libraries like Albion II, Harp Redux, Perc Redux, the upcoming Hans Zimmer Percussion I,II,II

The upcoming CineStrings Core, Pro

I would like to add that I have spent over 5000 on sample libraries over the past year alone. Some libraries that I bought were fantastic and I hope you guys support the developers if you use them. Others that I bought.... I wish I had not since they didn't meet my expectations. That said, being able to try before buying is really great. That way we won't feel so bad spending money on something that isn't how we thought it would be.

Diabulus in Musica,

Steal? You mean like how the "source" also stole these? I find the idea of places obtaining pirated things (libs, music, books, etc.) and then forbidding other people from sharing them somewhere else ridiculous. I mean, seriously. What the hell is up with that?

Diabulus in Musica,

Considering how short the list of kontakt orchestral libraries that -haven't- been released is, that probably isn't a huge deal to be quite honest.

With very few exceptions, anything one could want to sound like a modern professional composer (assuming you can actually write........) is already released. I think that everyone here would survive, and perhaps would be better off if there was even a year + of time before another major orchestral release. Not that I want that to happen or think that it will (we'll probably see Cinewinds Core soon at the very least), but it would force people to actually use the literally thousands of dollars that have been released within the past 10 days.

Some people get it, but it really bothers me when others around here don't realize exactly how much has been released in the past two weeks, and how little else they truly need on the orchestral side of things.

Don't get me wrong: I'm fine with piracy and especially Try before you Buy (or I'd be a hypocrite) I've just heard some rumblings from developers lately, and if things keep going the way they are we are without a slowdown, we are without a doubt going to see more of these developers go the way of East West and Steinberg and go for dongle copy protection. That is obviously bad for just about everyone, including paying customers.

I guarantee you that many people are just collectors here. I would be surprised if they actually used the libraries they've downloaded. And I concur, dongles suck.

You said it. The more released the less where Diabulus is referring to is a commodity.

Cataly5t,

Yeah, I'm starting to see that- it hadn't occurred to me until about a month ago that people would whine so much for releases they don't even use! No judgement from me though, many of us have our own addictions...

Apologies if I come off as frustrated at times, I love it here! Just didn't take it well a few days ago when I heard two of my favorite developers are probably moving to ilok for their next releases, citing the piracy outburst as the main reason (not naming names here, pm me for more info). sad So since the damage is done, just hoping that we all make the most of it and enjoy it while it lasts.

To be honest we have so much stuff already, that we really wont need much more...will we? ;) and whose to say some crackers wont emerge to crack that shit!! iLok WILL be cracked if its popular and needed enough..

DJSabreblade,

Heh yeah, I said that a few posts ago, actually. I just don't want to deal with ilok when I do buy their libraries.

There have been many many many discussions about cracking ilock and steinberg (cubase 7) key... let's just say it'll take some time, even if it is possible. no

Problem is, you cannot just wait till a project comes up within you want use them, because they are taken down so fast. I'm working on completely different things now, but that does not mean that I wouldn't use the stuff in a couple of months. But then they will be definitively gone.

You raise an interesting point, one that shows one of the big weaknesses of a system increasingly based on uploaders earning money off of their uploads. Back in the day when you had groups like AIR releasing on a regular basis, and everything was done with torrents or with emule, the groups frequently staggered their releases. In fact, it was often noticed that the releasing groups would wait a period of time after a product was on the market so that the developer could have a decent chance to earn some bucks before it became a warez item.

Now, the only thing that really interests many of the releasers is how much they can make on their upload and so there's no care or concern for how this is done, it's just get it all out there and give me $$$ for it a.s.a.p.! There's several bad things about that: first, you will get developers increasingly using means of protection that lock out the rest of us, second, you will inevitably put some of the developers out of business by throwing their entire catalog online for free, and third, some of the developers will just give up and fold their business' in disgust.

I know some of you will say, ' but what about try before you buy'??? I hate to say this, but the first release group to use that phrase was AIR, and the main reason they put it out there was because they wanted to have something that might soften the blow if they ever got busted by the law. They wanted to be able to say, 'look, we encouraged people to buy the stuff'. Fact is, try before you buy was always kinda bull$hit, and only a very small percentage of the people downloading this stuff actually turn around and buy very much of it.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

The point about using/collecting software is a matter of common sense IMHO, though as always the lines can be blurry. Having the "try before buy" mindset is a must in my country these days with the crisis and all...

Some people will argue this, but I think there's a difference between "losing money" and "not doing money". There are many shades of gray, I think...

Not trying to epitomize here but, for example, when I've had to urgently record some guitars at home and the sessions were in protools format i've thanked warez gods for being able to open them in cracked PT and bounce the entire track back to import it and work in my paid DAW of choice. Did I get paid for using cracked software? Yes and No. I don't see how just opening a session and bouncing justifies paying whatever PT HD costs these days.
If I had recorded the entire sessions myself and the software used was cracked I'd feel bad enough to buy instantly the software, and that's how it's worked always for me, just trying to be honest with myself and with the working developers...

By the way... Thanks for so many presents!!!

Well said, for a lot of people this "try before you buy" bullshit is just a means to calm their conscience, or they are just hypocrites, espcially when there are plugins with demo versions out. Even then some jerks start like "I have to use it extensively in big projects to see if it really fits my workflow", "30 days are not enough to test it" blabla..

boogiewoogie,
Hah, funny
but its really uncomplete presents. And 'releasers' know that. Golden time of robin-hooding in audio warez is over. now just money.

PS Why you cant speak about libs and why do you always take offense?
