I don't know why more people don't give credit to the wicked warm tone of the AKAI S-950. Everyone raves on the SP-12 and the ASR-10 (which I do love the tone of,) and other old samplers, but the S-950 gets forgotten. Run some drums through that thing and you get some warm, MPC60-ish tones that are *smoooth. Hmmm....Can someone please upload an AKAI S-950? I would appreciate it.
