I write this comment as a contrary manifesto to the keyboards companies, and to remember that the Kontakt came precisely to do the opposite, that is, to bring supreme quality and not limitation. Kontakt has positioned itself on the market as far superior to these companies.

The number comes to more than a few million people producing for Kontakt, against less than a few heads making sounds in the closed laboratories of these companies. But an original 'Nord' or a Korg Kronos are amazing.

Of course, choosing a Nord to play on stage is a good option, since they copied well what geniuses of sound creation have done over a few decades since the twentieth century. But a good option if you don't have money and want quality, use a notebook with Kontakt.

People are looking for the phenomenon, expensive and beautiful keyboards, with design, bright and vivid colors, but their tones/sounds or patches are all photos of the photos, photographs of other successful equipments.

But ripping some keyboards to Kontakt are just two things, one is good:
1- You can have the pleasure of experiencing the particular sounds of these keyboards that are champions of sales. Even if the sound was bad ripped with samplerobot software, but you can get an idea of what the original is.

2 - It is a poverty contrary to everything we are doing today, copying some keyboards that only have a good sounding because of it's magnificent filters and enhancers like 'Nord' does and or Yamaha Motif, is like copying a '128 kbps CD 44 KHz 16-bit' to Bluray with much higher sampling rates. The result is it; nothing copied from the 16bit / 44kHz source will get better at 24bit / 96kHz or 24bit / 192kHz.

But. It is really useful to copy old and rare keyboards, or even the tone of your own keyboard that you used on stage in your musical past, like Beatles Mellotron flutes, but Kontakt has done all this with an excellent quality.

Since our schools always taught philosophy, then we would not swallow everything without thinking or passing on the trash that others write behind unsigned masks.

The best example of copying equipment is Moog for PC/Mac, that not only copied each 'sine wave' as they reproduced each button and sliders of the original, this was done by simple human whim and managed to do well.
But, an "idiot critic" will say that, the original Moog sound is analogous, while the digital is inferior. I agree, but in "view of", better, in audition of, the poor hearing of the human being, who will listen all that analogue as the digital in the final product, mostly from a single source, the old Cd, Youtube, Spotfy etc, which has as final product, the digital itself.
So, it did not do any good, Moog as a desktop application is wonderful, since most people would never be able to buy one, now they can use it on a simple PC, and the result in human hearing is exactly the same. Not forgetting, that all of this came from the same gene, from the original Moog.

Nord is an excellent choice, when on the original.
Kontakt is the better choice for high studio quality, final works.
