Ok, here's a quick and dirty workaround. If you

- remove some Ultimate_00X (samples folder)
- load the NKI (skipping missing samples) and
- click on "Save As" (save patch+samples, DON'T create monoliths) you'll have a lite version, which loads fast.

For instance, for Grand Pianos only, leave Ultimate_001 and Ultimate_004 files and remove the rest.
For the uprights, leave Ultimate_003 and Ultimate_004.
For the CP's, Ultimate_002 only and so on.

Note: the pads are on Ultimate_007. Include them if you want to keep the ability to mix piano and synth.

Note 2: before saving, move to the first usable patch and click on the Store button

Next step: obtaining single NKI's from these lite versions... I'll let you know!

Was there ever a solution to the clicks/pops in the electric piano (patch 27) from this? It's there in the HD version.
