Samplestar are very proud to present Slow 80s RnB!

The 1980’s are once again heavily influencing music artists… It’s sound can be heard everywhere from mainstream pop right thru to darker indie vibes.

Creatively inspired by the critically acclaimed album After Hours by The Weeknd, Slo 80s RnB offers producers an explosive mix of classic synth-pop and lush 80s RnB writing material.

Expect to hear - warm analogue melodics, lush pads, crisp 80s drums, vintage DX keys and much more…

Sigh. I get so tired of these sample companies and producers trying (and failing miserably) to recreate 70s and 80s RnB. I mean, they barely get 90's RnB right. Either be authentic, be innovative or leave it alone. Using a drum machine and trying to emulate someone who's trying to emulate something else doesn't make this "80's RnB".

Sorry I usually don't comment but this just got to me. As a purist I know for a fact that this generation of producers will look at this as actual Classic R&B music from yesteryear... and they'll be very misinformed.
God loves a cheerful giver... but as long as you give something I guess it's alright. Music is life.

"Slow", "80's", and "RnB" were the three keywords the algorithm gave them to maximize sales.
