Drummer and composer Max Jaffe utilizes Sensory Percussion technology to stretch the expressive possibilities of the drum kit, and turn it into an expansive MIDI controller/live instrument hybrid. Using found elements like iron skillets, 30” diamond-tipped cement saw blades, and streetlight poles, paired with digital synthesis, this sound palette demonstrates the possibilities of modern solo performance for a drummer while offering an array of otherworldly sequences that retain a human touch.

The resulting sample collection is accompanied by Sensory Percussion software patches designed by Jaffe and an Ableton drum rack for drummers and producers alike to add to their toolkits.
