[dead] Scarbee W.E.P

The Scarbee W.E.P. is a faithful reproduction of the classic Wurlitzer EP200A, formatted for 24-bit Kontakt, EXS24 mk II, and Halion. It captures not only the Wurlitzer's signature sound, but also the instrument's unique dynamic response.
Before Scarbee even began the 2 months of recording it devoted to creating these sample, the developers spent 6 months restoring the instrument itself. Sources of noise such as the power transformer were made external and critical components were upgraded where possible, creating a Wurlitzer with an exceptionally high signal-to-noise ratio.

The Scarbee W.E.P. was extensively recorded via a Mindprint En-Voice preamp and digitally transferred to a Nuendo AudioLink 96 Audio Card. In order to capture the finest details of the Wurlitzer's sound, sustain and release sounds for each of the 64 keys were sampled at 16 velocities with release sounds sampled, not just for each key, but each sustain sample. The result of this extensive recording was a total pool of over 2,000 24-bit wav files. Special attention was given to sampling the forte area of the Wurlitzer's dynamic range, since it has such light action that many players would consistently hit the keys hard making the forte timbral qualities a significant part of the Wurlitzer sound.

All samples are full length and unlooped. To accommodate systems with less RAM, "lite" versions of the piano are included.
