Whenever I hear a "Classic Hip Hop/Boom Bap" pack like this, I always envision a small group of scientists hovering around a whiteboard, frantically scribbling equations, trying to figure out the proper elements they need to create that "urban" vybe that all the kids think is hip and groovy.
Thanks anyway, Fantastic.

This release is an insult: in the 90s, rap didn't sound like this at all. By the way: the name is Marley Marl and not as it is written in the notes (MARLY MAL)

Probably because he took modern sounds, overdid everything on them (compresson, saturation, limiting) and in the end he threw some dirt at it. Here you go, som "authentic" 90s Boom Bap for ya'll LOL

why the hate?, That are boom-bap rhythms in my book.
reverse hi-hats, obviously instruments sampled in a drummachine or slicer.
I hear only crappy synths and ms-20 like basslines.

This definitely does not sound like drake, (or drake is on some oldskool shit)
and music back then wasn't about 12 bit at all at any moment.

and I did not even mention the scratches.....

In fact, I would believe this is made in the '90s. And nothing sounded like it could not be accomplished back then, too my ears that is at least.
