DDL present a fine pack of a Synthwave / Italo Disco / Nu Disco fusion style featuring 10 themes including Wav and MIDI files. All harmonics are kept in one key (Gm) and by this are easily to mash up, if you would like to do so. Further, all these are delivered as MIDI files so you could exchange them. You can choose between multiple kicks and snares, adust pitch and change hihat and tom sounds. Further you have many patterns for chords, basslines, melodies and arpeggiators and you can play your own sequences easily as everthing will be automatically in tune. The scale can be changed. You can even trigger chords plus basslines by pressing down one note. After owning, using and falling in love with the original hardware, we wanted to create the worlds first digital emulation of a rare bass synth. As we are incredibly familiar with the original hardware, we are also well aware of the tweaks that could be made in the digital domain. We wanted to recreate a digital version that would be far easier to programme and use, but at the same time ensure that we kept all of the original characteristics whilst also adding additional features that made it better. The Wolsa Bass is a monophonic bass synthesizer and is a close unofficial representation of the original hardware. It has 11 synthesizer modes that provide a variety of bass sounds which are selected and chosen by different colour modes. Of course we didn’t just stop there, we wanted to improve what was original created and add extra features. Alas, the Wolsa Bass was born.
