REQ: Woodlands Studio Wolsa Bass

After owning, using and falling in love with the original hardware, we wanted to create the worlds first digital emulation of a rare bass synth. As we are incredibly familiar with the original hardware, we are also well aware of the tweaks that could be made in the digital domain. We wanted to recreate a digital version that would be far easier to programme and use, but at the same time ensure that we kept all of the original characteristics whilst also adding additional features that made it better. The Wolsa Bass is a monophonic bass synthesizer and is a close unofficial representation of the original hardware. It has 11 synthesizer modes that provide a variety of bass sounds which are selected and chosen by different colour modes. Of course we didn’t just stop there, we wanted to improve what was original created and add extra features. Alas, the Wolsa Bass was born.
