Poll: Magazines Not Related to Professional Audio screenshot
Recently we've been overwhelmed by variety of magazines that uploaders try to submit. I don't mind more content as an administrator but i do mind posts that might not be of interest to you or me personally.

I've made a definition for Valter76 (moderator in charge of posts) - "we don't process magazines that are not related to Professional Audio", but it's not always that easy to define whether a magazine is related to Pro Audio or just Music overall.

Here are a few examples of what i consider to be not related to Professional Audio:
HiFi, Rhytm, Billboard, Rock'n Folk N...

Please tell me, do you personally want to see these kind of magazines at AudioZ?

Thank you.

Poll: Magazines Not Related to Professional Audio screenshot
The reason why this poll has been active for so long is because I've been waiting for at least some reasonable movement into one side or another.

Yes, 19 more members voted against posting those magazines, but, is that number enough to make such significant changes to the site? - I don't think so.

Most members said they don't mind unrelated magazines, even if they don't download them;
So I think we'll leave things as they are for now, and if this situation goes worst, i'll run a new poll.

Thanks for voting!

I would be ok with these mags in some dedicated section of the site, but it would be annoying to see them start to clog up the main page/news feed...

I think we are seeing the question from a wrong point of view .
Who's the site owner? Surely we are only "users", however differently you can call us....
So this poll is a sort of market survey, something that will help to take the decision, that rightly is not our responsibility
No reason to argue heatedly

OMG Sisko, you have way too much time on your hands, go make some music or read that Bieber mag you were on about, even that would be better use of your time! If im not mistaken even politicians are allowed to vote so I don't see the problem with Cat making his own views known, the first post does say afterall that its down to the vote and not the comments
Some people!!

Personally i only read the proaudio mags, (i actually buy hard copies of the more useful ones too!) As for the others mags they can be useful to some people, guitar players or the likes, so im not against them in anyway. I don't find it too hard to use the scroll wheel on my mouse

Audioz need to have a FREEWARE section, and a non audio related section too.
In Freeware, Hy2drog3n Audio will be the king as he think he is, and spare us from he's posts as 99% are crap.

The non audio related, people could even post their own music or DJ sets as also those magazines.
I offer myself as Moderator for that.

would not such a task require one, at least partially functioning, brain, for the whole team, perhaps for characters with less negative traits?

A free section might be a good idea... there are several other sites for freeware audioz release, but some are poorly maintained, or not so well organised.

There is already a non audio section for system tools.. which is cool, but im my view there needs to be some limits to the scope of audioz,

People that post stuff are the lifeblood of this site...no matter how good you think the quality of their posts are.

Love: Future Music, Keyboard, Computer Music, MusicTech and the Like (Musician's and Engineer Periodicals) --- Billboard, Spin, Rolling Stone, and other 'fanboy' rags seem to convolute things a bit in my opinion --- yet it is just that, an opinion.
I pray the day never comes, that by 'popular opinion' rags like 'Country Living, Better Homes and Gardens, or Sports Illustrated' replace the AUDIOZ signature choice Audio Production PlugIns and Utilities ... (Perish the thought) . Be mindful what you wish for friends -- Jusayin

I wish we could have some access to a really professional audio engineering sources. I mean those magazines are cool and helpful, but they have their limitations in order to fit to their main audiences.
Me, as a producer, look for the most updated and top level information when it comes to music and sound production and i found sites that really have some very useful articles.
One of them is http://www.aes.org.
The thing is it costs something like 20 dollars per an article and its too expensive for me.
An access to some of their articles can really help us to grow as producers and help us to understand this art better.
I thought maybe someone could get access to their library archives and make a collection of some articles from there once in a month or something like that.
It will be SUPER AWSOME!

The less not-music-producer-related magazines there are, the better.

It be nice to have a section on the left. It's not something i would like to see on my "news". However, i know there's a couple of people out there that like reading xxx magazine.

P.S. I just figure out there's a section on the "education" tab.
