just a quick one - which new sections would you like me to add?

i don't want to make it too much specific, after all you'll never be looking for a software by browsing a section;
but in other hand, i've been thinking, it could be useful to move the magazines, video-tutorials and eBooks into seperate sections..

as for software... i have no ideas
maybe splitting VST and VSTi into sections would do?

so far, this is what i came up with:
- software
PC
MAC
essential

- samples
libraries
sound effects
MiDi, SF, AKAi

- study
watch
read

btw, do you use those Last Appz and Last Comments pages in the main menu?

P.S. if you see an article with comments disabled, you must immediately report it to me! :stop:

I absolutely 2nd and 3rd the "Mac" and "PC" sections.

I've downloaded so many apps here that were unusable because their platform compatibility wasn't notated in the written descriptions.

To me it seems like the whole community (not AudioZ specifically) needs to tighten up standards and require that platform compatibility be notated every time someone uploads something.

Just my 2 cents!

i see some new suggestions, but with the same old mistakes.
so once more, whatever you do, never forget that Foley FX, MiDi and Acapellas *must* (i can't stress enough here, any pro will understand why...) have their own sexions separate from other sample types.

also suggesting "hot freeware" and "rareware" sexions.

I don't know where to post my feeling, so to post here for admins, moderators and our dear friends, hope admin can get member's comments to make audioz better wink

We're requesting mods to remove user : dukeiggi or warn or ban him coz now he is just spam the board for earning from DL rather than sharing. Alots of his articles in recent times have error, or old enough to throw away, or he is not responsible to be sure that everyone can get materials at least 2 week.

Moreover, he is now "composer" and he ignores the ruler. "Member" can't make the same article when this article already posted here, but he did, he always repost, reup bla ..bla..bla

Just my 2cent
Thanks for reading!

We most definitely need a NEW posts section and an OLD posts section. Or at least an indication that post are either new or old (eg originally released 2006). Right now it's all muddled into one. I recently started downloading what I thought was a new post when it turned out to be 3 years old!

So far all suggestions seem pretty good.

I like "I FRIGGIN ROCK's" menu system, but keep in mind a couple of things:

The appz need to be able to be searched for globally.
The appz that are categorized will most likely "cross over" and need to appear in more than just one category.

And of course, we need the "Everything Else Misc" section!

I find myself not too interested in loops and Drum'n'Bass stuff, so weeding them out would be a plus.
I think the "LAST APPZ" thingy worked once for me, but since I visit so often, I rarely use it.

Categorization might big a big help, but then again, you just might miss the "don't know what's coming around the corner" -a.k.a The Christmas effect!

I say make it as hard core (hard to use) as possible... keep all the idiots out...
do not expand if anything make it more cryptic... tongue
No matter where you go there you are!
