That's not true, and you know it. (If you don't, look up the word copyright.) If you buy something, you can *give* it away or sell it, but you can't copy it and give away or sell copies. It falls under counterfeiting. If you think that's not the case, start making copies of money and give that away, see what happens.

Why is everybody hating the small uploaders, who make a dollar or two, and the big filesharing companies like Megaupload, which made 175 million dollars of profit last year, are regarded as the good guys??

The small uploaders you criticise for making money with warez, while at the same time you pay premium memberships to companies, who make their money also (indirectly) by warez, and buying "several Mercedes Benz automobiles, a 2012 Maserati, a 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drop-head Coupe and a 1959 pink Cadillac..." with it!

commo, a copy when authorized (like in a few European countries for instance) is always personal anyway and that implies it is not to be shared outside the "family circle" in the best case scenario..it is allowed as a personal "backup" of what you bought.

The best thing anyone can do at the moment is NOT buy Premium accounts anywhere, regardless of what anyone says about any site, until this whole thing calms down.You'd just be setting yourself up to losing it, possibly rather quickly.

I agree with the comments satan213 and rico88 made. This isnt/wasnt about "free speech", it was about making money off warez, movies and TV shows that were pirated. For us downloaders, the past few years have been one-click heaven; never has so much stuff been so easy to get. Whatever comes along to replace it, we dont know yet. We can hope that it's as easy to use as FS,MU, etc....

This party is over though. Paying people to upload illegal content is a criminal enterprise.Simple as that.But it's a shame that millions of files have been nuked from various servers, never to be uploaded again because it's too much damn work for the uploaders, some of whom have had this happen to them before ( Hotfile,RS) and are just fed up.

i was reading about a guy who was hosting about 100 privates videos on megaupload and his harddisk died 5 days before the FBI guys took MU from the web ... so ppl who had uploaded any backup get not back their files ... thank you US GOV - what is this? stealing of personal data and GOV cant do that right?!

AnyHOE, I never understood why uploaders would want to be found easily on search engines by naming files such as moviename.dvdrip.mygroup.rar (I know it's to make money but then greed is at fault).
