Further Conversations with Eddie Bazil
Today, out of nowhere, just like crap on one's shoe - our dearest friend Eddie Bazil, after almost one year of silence, started to send his ridiculous threats to me again.
Yes, it's a pure waste of my time, but I'd still like to give this for your amusement.
For those who is not aware, here's the first thread
Letter 1:
Feel free to register... but then, you'll be a part of community
but that won't matter i guess, since everybody already know you're using pirated software.
anyway, please stop bothering me with your threats.
Letter 2
- Since Eddie doesn't know how to verify his registration, I've created an account for him and send link to this thread.
...few minutes after:
It's not a forum :) to reply, simply post your comment using the form and press Submit:
http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/capture-1407.php
you'll have to split your comment on two parts if it's too big (you'll see a warning).
...I've decided to move Eddie's post from the forum directly into the post, so here we go:
Eddie Bazil:
For those of you that are berating me here without knowing any of the facts, well, read on.
I am a one man business and I write books that are screened and published for content. I also write for magazines, so all my content is scrutinized and verified. Someone mentioned that using a cracked piece of software in a book would be tantamount to stupidity. Of course it would, and it would also make the publishers look stupid and open to litigation.
You are all accusing me, based on Saint's appalling publication of my private email request for him to remove infringed content and the screen capture of the timeworx compressor in my book.
Well, any of you that actually work in this industry will know that the following is very common. Additionally, I implore you to contact the owner of Timeworx, a very close friend of mine and someone who is currently coding my vsti. But then again I am sure he likes being ripped off and then re-employed by the person who has ripped him off huh?
When I write a book I try to endorse small businesses like myself. Michael, who created Timeworx (which BTW is being incorporated in my latest VSTI), is such a person. I contacted him a long time ago to use his products in my books. He sent me the Timeworx as a NFR (pls feel free to contact him and verify this). I used his plugin but, as with a number of plugins at the time of the Win 2000 to XP changeover there were stability issues. Michael and I had little time to resolve this so I contacted Nitro and one or two other companies re the cracked version. We found that some cracks actually were considerably more stable than the released version because they were stripped down of all unnecessary reg codes. In fact, when I was sound designing for Emu/Ensoniq we had the same problem with the first version of Emulator X. It was buggy as hell and the crack was far more stable and the version that 4 of us sound designers used to create the sound libraries.
The Nitro crack was available through a company who stole Michael's products and packaged them as the Millenium Pack. Michael went out of business because of the amount of rips he had to endure, something I have to deal with every day and with the type of people who you all hail as your saviors: people who steal content and then offer it to their user-base for glorified thanks, people like Saint, companies like Audio Z.
I contacted Michael quite a while back to find out if he had pursued with Timeworx and if he had a 64 bit version available for Win 7. He informed me he had left the site running but had ditched the products, and this was back in 2006. My heart sank as he is such a nice guy and has a family to support and the rips simply killed his business, the same as is happening to us small businesses.
Michael and I are hoping we can create a well priced Vsti that does not get so heavily cracked. Hell, I sell my Kontakt modules for $8 each. How cheaper do I need to get for people to stop ripping it?
I am not implying you guys use cracks, far from it. Just some of the threads here have admonished me because people assumed I used cracks. If anything, I do the exact opposite and endorse small companies and make sure they get as much exposure as possible. This is evident in my latest article for Sound On Sound magazine and follow ups for Music Tech etc..
We, as small entities, cannot absorb rips. We are just too small to pay for protective systems, PACE, iLoks and the like. Even Rob Papen, one of my closest friends and someone who I knew from years and years ago at Emu has dropped support and development for Albino due to the amount of piracy he has had to endure. I made sure all my students bought Albino, I used Albino in my books and specifically in my latest book on Effects, and I even created a library to support the product for Rob. This is what we do but you guys don't know about it simply because you are not at our end of the industry, the beck-end, the technical end.
Additionally, and something some of you will have noticed, Ultrafunk who made wonderful plugins and were used in my book also went under due to piracy as did Blue another company I used to try to help promote. We simply cannot endure piracy. We are all small companies trying to earn a living.
I could have gone down the litigation route with this forum and Audio Z but chose to respond here as Saint simply refuses to print any of my emails on his site in response to his allegations.
I implore you all to kick back, check and validate your accusations, and then think about who is really screwing who.
Sites like Saints exist on a number of criteria. I suggest you all follow his paper trail to find out what he really does to earn money from his 'community forum and site'.
In the interim, I would greatly appreciate this thread being removed as it is indexed in Google and is causing harm to me and my company. I have requested the same from Saint but he prefers to keep it on his site as it indexes his company on page 1 of Google only because of the private dialogue between him and I being exposed for his personal benefit.
I leave the rest up to you but advise that maybe you need to ask questions from Saint and his personal 'entourage' before making unfounded accusations, particularly ones that have been continually answered to but never published.
I'll let you decide why Saint wouldn't allow me to respond in his forums as I have here.
Thanks you
Zukan

Yes, it's a pure waste of my time, but I'd still like to give this for your amusement.
For those who is not aware, here's the first thread
Letter 1:
We spoke before, when I requested you remove my infringed content by you, whereby you plastered my private conversation with you all over your forum for public gain. Before I delve into what will happen next I would like to be able to answer in your forum all the allegations that have slanderously been made and kept online for no other reason than to gain favour and publicity for your company.
This thread:
/audio-lounge/36754-download_my-conversation-with-eddie-brazil-from-samplecraze.html
So, send me login details so I can answer your unfounded allegations and pls provide copies of the dialogue for legal reasons.
Feel free to register... but then, you'll be a part of community

but that won't matter i guess, since everybody already know you're using pirated software.

Letter 2
There are no threats. This is so I can answer the slanderous content you
have uploaded. And especially regarding the so called pirated software.
What are you scared of?
Once this has been done then we can talk about the next step.
What you don't seem to realize is that you are not supporting a community,
you hide behind that, and you are afraid to allow me to answer the
accusations you have made in the event your users really know who you are
and what you do.
So, be brave, create an account in which I will post and then you will
confirm not to have it edited so all can see.
I have important information that I think your user-base should know about.
So, pls hiding behind the 'threat line. No one is threatening you, so kindly
publish this email to your forums for all to see and then allow me to expose
you for who you really are now that I have information about how you conduct
your business.
It's up to you. If you say no then it's not a problem. I will simply create
a page on my sites and write what I want to say in your forums.
So, since you hide behind your country's laws, why not allow me to really
say what is going on?
BTW, I know you love breaking the law but in this instance you have my blessing to upload this email to your forums.
- Since Eddie doesn't know how to verify his registration, I've created an account for him and send link to this thread.
...few minutes after:
so, where is the post or reply icon? all iu have is your usual diatribe and nothing more....
you are accusing me of threatening you on your front page?
so, where is the reply button then?
