Flying Lotus - You're Dead (0RGan1c) screenshot
0RGan1c | September 28, 2014 | ~137Mb
Hello All,

Its 0RGan1c

To begin i dont know if music posts are allowed here. But this is something all musicians should be exposed to. Flying Lotus isnt a favorite of mine, but it is evident that his talent is worth mentioning on a audio/music site. Time Signatures, Foley, Collabs, His label, etc. Hes established. And people should give it a listen and see there are things beyond what you hear on the charts.

I though Aphex Twin's new album was so so...

For a man that ploughed so much new ground to hear his latest effort left me disappointed...

2 tracks with the Amen break...seriously....i have probably 300 DnB 12"s from back in the day that have chopped that break better...

The rest is just the same old sounds...

That's what happens when you're known for pushing the envelope and you take a long time to release an album. And this wasn't just long, it was a lifetime.

It was something different, but Its the same Flying Lotus style. Because he made his own style, how can you change it? I mean you see the work he does on Brainfeeder and his work on Captain Murphy. Hes something different. Some of those tracks were blended hard. Like the Kendrick collab. That has tons of various things going on but maintains a beautiful structure to keep you tuned in.

Maybe not his best work, but his work is ahead of a lot of others right now.

Im all in for Arca though. His stuff is top tier. Hes probably my #1 stylist right now. Then Teebs.

Zappa meets Coltrane as they smoke a doobie with Tupac. Yea, the kendrick lamar joint is way a monster of mucho wonderfulness. I must ask however if this has been remastered or is it just an artistic statement to let the levels embrace 0 dbs and distort on the pounded and now cratered ceiling?

i agree about the aphex twin, it's strange ( and a little disappointing), but then hype has always followed the guy around. most of Syro sounds like it was made 10 years ago. the good stuff sounds like Plaid on acid... ( i urge anyone who has an interest in electronic music to check out Plaid). he has definitely been lapped and overtaken. that's what happens when innovation is made a strong point of his endevaours. i still like it. but i am not that interested in returning to it much.
thanks for this link , never heard this stuff before
