posting free stuff is not a violation of our rules.

however, it is a rule of thumb to report anything you don't like to me.

c'mon you know it very well that i would not have posted this if it was only about posting free stuff. many times i have said that i have NO problem with free stuffs.

but what about posting free stuff repackaged as 'something else' and not telling us that you can also get it for free anyway by just adding a link to the source?

ppl will download the stuff from shitty filehosts wasting whatever bandwidth/GB limit that they maybe possibly having while they could have grabbed it from a better source with no limit etc.
also those who already have the stuff from main source may end up downloading the stuff again by mistakenly thinking this is 'something else'.

and all this is done only so that he can earn more money than what he is already earning.

this is cheating in my book.

and i posted this only because i wanted other members to know how to see through their tricks

surely, that is a bad thing to do.
although you can never be sure whether they did this on purpose

anyways, in the news version, at least on the main page we'll have only fresh, quality releases.

and that is the exact reason why i opted not to report against the person who is uploading all these fake stuff.
still, if the occurrence is being repeated again and again instead of all the warnings, i cant help but think otherwise about his motive

We need a "free stuff" and an "old stuff" section, it could be handy finding all free stuff here -with a link to the developers- instead of searching endlessly on the net.
The old stuff section it might not be for everyone but for the ones with stability problems or older systems it's a must.

@Saint: klefths has a grand idea. One I'd thought of but in my noob-ness kept it under my hat.
I "made the switch" to a G5 PPC (if I could afford a brand new Micro-tosh, would I be here?) and discovered the term, "Legacy software". That means I'm stuck and HAVE to use "old stuff".
A rat bastard that profits from uploading things he didn't develop -especially if it's a freebie -is the reason we have things like ACTA and shit, I guess. What do I know, though? I've only been regularly using a computer since 2005!
This is a great site and I hope that I may enjoy it for a long time to come.
