When the Screwed and Chopped sound hit mainstream hip hop last decade, it created instant and memorable classics from Houston artists like DJ Screw, UGK, Paul Wall and Mike Jones. This had a lasting influence that can even be heard in more modern artists like Travis Scott. In our newest sample pack, Screwed Soul, we created soulful loops and pitched them down to a unique warble. The resulting textures are unlike anything else we have ever released. We would describe it as smeary, yet also detailed. Grainy, and three-dimensional. Screwed Soul is a melodic loop pack with over 100 sounds including stems for each 4 bar loop, and one shots for each instrument (guitar, synth, bass, piano, and organ).
