Chris Johnson has lots of great plugins, freeware and open source. One, which I like and used a lot, is Acceleration. Great for taming fret noises of bass guitar, fingernails on acoustic guitar, cymbals etc. I just copy & pasted the main part of the open source code and added GUI, metering, improved Mix parameter, Inverse action switch and dither On/Off switch. It sounds the same as the original, but I prefer to have some animation on the screen, I hope some of you will find this usable also.

For added authenticity we even captured the sound of the belt whirring to life that can be dialled in with the dedicated switch and volume control.
