The electric piano sound engine EP-1 first appeared in 2011 in KORG's flagship workstation synthesizer, KRONOS. I have had three vintage TR-808s in my studio, along with a few analog and digital clones. I can honestly say that the 8Raw8 is the nicest-sounding of all of them, including the OG vintage ones.
