P821 MDN Tape is based on Marc Daniel Nelson’s personal Stephens 821 2” tape machine

Which was utilized at the Producer’s Workshop, renowned for producing iconic albums such as The Wall, Aja, Rumours, and others. The P821 signature sound is very open and has a large sonic character, as there is very little electronics and zero transformers in the tape machine, making the sound stage massive and no aggressive compression or clamping down. This is the first plugin of its type where you’re actually hearing TAPE and how it reacts. Now, hearing the P821 MDN Tape plugin recreates that same experience. It’s truly incredible and unlike anything else out there.

The additional grain engine can be used to pitch the sound with different pitch offsets or add more chaos and variation to the final reverb output. Different routings are possible. The degree of coloration and the overall sound, including the early reflections, depends heavily on the internal reverb delays. The plug-in has various carefully tuned delay settings pre-installed. However, it allows you to create your own delay/reverb templates, which can then be used in the presets. A complex network between the delay lines ensures that the delays do not have to be perfectly adjusted to sound good.

Autotalent began as the result of a week of recreational signal processing in May 2009. It's a real-time pitch correction plugin. You specify the notes that a singer is allowed to hit, and Autotalent makes sure that they do. You can also use Autotalent for more exotic effects, like the Cher / T-Pain effect, making your voice sound like a chiptune, adding artificial vibrato, or messing with your formants. Autotalent can also be used as a harmonizer that knows how to sing in the scale with you. Or, you can use Autotalent to change the scale of a melody between major and minor or to change the musical mode.
