Ric Sanders is the perfect presenter as he slowly takes you through the basics and explains everything he is doing. There are lots of close-ups which makes it easy to copy what he is doing on screen. Sander's folk background makes this an ideal video for anyone who wants to play folk and traditional music (most violin books seem to concentrate on classical music). This video does not shy away from the fact that it takes months of practice to fully master the basics of playing the violin, but it does give you the confidence to give it a try.
