Muhahahah "digital-performer-8-explained"

LMFAO this also explain why Motu is almost in bankruptcy?
or why Motu sticking with one platform OS as come to bite them in the ass?
Or why they are now FORCED to come to Windows as their Apple is ditching the Mac Pro desktops and giving away Logic.

Another Reason why Avid is pushing hard on Protools for PC's running Windows 7/8 as they know the game is up for Apple desktop computers. As Apple themselves want to dump them quick and are dumping the Pro users left and right.

I and many other PC users are going to boycott Motu for their stupit ass mentality.
they used to have a post on their website "We eat, sleep and breath Mac" LMFAO ya can you hear me now? MUHAHAHAH

Motu Digital Performer should of been on Windows since the XP days for god's sake, but Motu was deep in Apple's ass to realize Apple was going to EFF them in the back. With all the Daw's out there now. Motu has their lunch cut out for them. Mark my words, in the end Motu will be putting up a demo of Digital Performer weather they like it or not.

FU MOTU! headbang

if you go to the MOTU web site you'll notice that it's available for mac AND pc.

not sure where you get your information, but DP has been on PC to my knowledge since version 2.7 when I started using it. back then producing on Logic was not even close to a pro option, due to MOTU already using the know-how which later on enabled them to design apple's core audio & midi from the ground up. without this, neither logic or PT (or the rest) would sound anywhere near so good as they do. so at the very least we all have MOTU to thank for that.

furthermore, all the really cool stuff like flex time, beat detective, consolidated windows etc were first seen to some degree in DP - so again you have them to thank for the great ideas offered in your current DAW. fyi logic (and most other DAWs) STILL doesn't offer the really essential pro features such as time-stamping, which is crucial for good timing, accuracy and file-sharing.

hope that puts things in a little more perpective ;-)
