Voider Synth Runner Sound Design Series Pads [Arturia Pigments] TUTORiAL-FANTASTiC screenshot
FANTASTiC | 24 January 2024 | 458 MB
This course will expand your horizon when it comes to creating more complex and difficult, cinematic sounding pads. Creating a basic pad is easy, but how can your pads come really alive and stand out? You will learn how to give your patches more depth and uniqueness and how to create patches with a clear vision right from the start, so that you actually end up with the sound that you have imagined.

When it comes to the playability of patches, there are also quite a few things to consider. Sometimes ideas do sound very good at first glance, but mess too much with the practical utility and quality of the sound; learning how to make the right decisions - when and when not to go with an idea - is essential on your journey to become a great Synthrunner. Because at the end of the day our patches shouldn't just sound good when they are being played in isolation, but also work in compositions and enhance the music.

Although this module is a great expansion to the "How to become a Synthrunner with Pigments" course, this whole series is designed to work standalone for everyone who wants to augment their sounddesign and patch crafting skills.

After i watched this i have to say that the guy needs to know first what the fuck he wants do and then start to record the tutorial . Almost 30 minutes to decide what to do , 7 minutes video to say that better use analog engone etc ....... his sound design is very good this is not the point , but when you try to sell something you have to respect the buyer . Ok we get it free hahaha but you all understand what im saying . Synthrunner was way better without all these " decisions ".

edit : Just finished last episode . From the 47 minutes , at least half an hour tries to fix something he doesnt like !! We all know in sound design you can be lost in time but this is a tutorial !! Again i talk about the procedure not the sounds which are very good for my taste .

I think that's the whole point of the tutorial. Everyone can try to record the perfect patch making, but I can learn much more when I see how a sound designer works around problems, what his thoughts are for the decisions he make.

Because otherwise I will get lost when I am stuck as I have never picked up good approaches to troubleshoot problems or learned how to go that extra mile that makes my patches stand out.

Personally I prefer his style he knows very well what he is doing. I don't need a tutorial where I just copy what the sound designer does for 20 minutes and didn't learn anything than dialing in values.

I purchased the course to support him btw. very happy, very well worth the money.
