To be able to have a teacher with competence, it is difficult to find one, it's expensive. Both the bad teacher and the bad method leads to disaster.
So it is good to read more about the cerebellum, not to practice wrong creating thus irreparable vices. Who knew!?!??

I don't think they are quacks, but, a lot of them don't have good training to write about music, or when they have, focused on useless things. Many are amateurs and don't even know what they are talking about, but they inadvertently deceive people.
