Wow, what a great share. Scheps is the man, mixed some of my fav bands back in the day. Too bad I dont use the DAWs this is for, but I can still make my own templates following this in REAPER and Ableton. I did the same with the CLA / Slate tute and made an ableton rock mixing template from it

For those wondering, no there was no audio files that came with this, its a blank template for you to build on! Hope this may clear up any confusion!

Regarding the effects (even the native ones), I think there is no need to translate, since they use a common "language", for example a compressor has the same basic parameters as all other existing compressors .
So I guess once he masters a mixing technique on one DAW, he can translate it to any other DAW as long as it has the common effects.

In rock for example, the instruments are clearly defined, there is a hierarchy, we know how a typical group works and we know what stems a mix engineer will receive.
It is therefore easier to establish templates and tutos on how to mix this genre.
EDM, on the other hand, is a genre that has synth instruments that differ from one song to another, from one subgenre to another, so it's impossible to catch.
