1973 is not just a number, it's a date with historical adventures, like this record of 'Pink Floyd', which, for those who don't know, a record on vinyl, tape, cd etc is a document that stamps a whole thought in certain time.
I who know the history of music very well, I see that in other times the same faces would be used their vocation to play the violin, lute, then is where electric power comes to little more than 100 years and changes everything, then emerges the most important instrument and promising for the XX century, the 'Electric Guitar', and since the first soloist for it 'Charlie Christian', would later be born 'Pink Floyd', and all the rest.
The curious thing is that, in the past centuries everything was in handwritten media, the paper, and everything was documented through very simple mathematical symbols and ideas that we used until today, then came 'Th. Edison' and the media began to be recorded and no one else used the paper, only from the 80's that began to catalog and transcribe the most important works of the twentieth century in scores.
Whoever is born tomorrow can not only listen, but also read all these documents.

For those who don't know, exactly one century before, 1873, intellectuals believed that everything had already been said in music and nothing else was possible, anyone making any music, would seem to be Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Chopin, Alkan, Liszt, Schumann, Mendelsohn, Verdi, Puccini or Berlioz and Mozart, Bach or Haydn was already considered extreme past. From there to the surprise for the false prophets, born in 1862 Debussy, in 1873 Rachmaninov, in 1875 Ravel, in 1882 Stravinsky, in 1887 Villa-Lobos.
Soon after electric power also...
